RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

The forums are mostly read-only and are in a maintenance/testing phase, before being permanently archived. Please use this time to get the contact details of people you'd like to keep in touch with. My contact details are here.
Please do not make a mirror copy of the forums in their current state - things will still change, and some people have requested to be able to edit or delete some of their personal info.
I don't really see any sort of "pro-school" posters in classrooms. The posters are usually about homework on time, or being respectful or just informational resources on a topic(grammar rules or geometric stuff). Unless you're talking about these.
I say there should no posters. I say what needs to be said shall be written in blood directly onto the walls!
We don't really have any pro-school posters either. We have some posters about 'netiquette' that were provided by edmodo.com, but they pretty much just say to be nice. I personally have nothing against people telling other people to be nice, even though most of the time it effects their behavior very little. They're sort of just filling up the big, empty, whitewashed cinder block walls.
I do not have a pet fire-spewing walrus, contrary to popular belief.
If you say something I do not care about, I will ignore you. This is not an invitation to say it louder.

Sure, the posters got some BS hippy-utopia stuff about being nice that no one believes is even possible but I don't think that can be considered a crime(in the mind of the anti-schoolers). Unless it says be nice to the school, then you should pull out your rapier and carve the letter V onto the poster(maybe dip the tip of the sword in some red paint before you do it for greater effect).
It was some stupid shit about the "5 Principles of Learning", and I doubt it said "boredom" or "indoctrination" or anything similar, so I ripped it down.
If they aren't going to follow the "Principles" themselves, then they shouldn't have the poster. Not to mention, there aren't "principles" of learning. Everybody "learns" differently. There isn't anything relevant to "learning" in school anyway.

If you are serious, then lets do it. All we need are bottles, rags and gasoline.
We will need to meet in person though.
I will help with your school if you help with mines.
Don't you just LOVE the cultural marxist propaganda posters? The "CELEBRATE DIVERSITY" bullshit? The "ONE RACE" nonsense? I just love seeing them coat the walls of the institution, as though it means something. They exist solely to facilitate our genocide, and I simply won't have it.

WHITE POWER!
Please don't bring up those fascist savages. Those who think they're better than another race just because their skin is pale. I also despise those that think that other races are better because their skin is brown, that they are to be celebrated for something out of their control. My biggest problem with the diversity and multicultural nonsense is that it doesn't construct a solidified culture among everyone. And the one race is just a big contradiction ever since affirmative action was unbanned from the state (Michigan). And yes, I do reside in the Detroit area. And I have no problem with the Orientals and Asians.

Chill out man. There ain't no genocide going, and you're always going to have culture clash and mixing and mongrelization in a country that has people of different cultures. It's a good thing, it creates something unique.
I have posters in my room about treating others with respect and kindness because I want my students to be treated with respect and kindness. They actually have a bunch of rules saying that I have to have posters about this and that but I just tell the district people to make them themselves and put them up if that's what they think. Some actually have. Most just write a report and leave.
If you want to be a different fish, you've got to jump out of the school.
Considering there's only so many variations that one can have concerning soldiers, their uniforms, and how they match, that makes sense, but it doesn't mean anything.

That's the French Foreign Legion(Probably the only army in the world that doesn't require you to be a citizen of that country to enlist in). I don't think they're french though. Perhaps they're Canadian?
