To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Old-School RuneScape
RuneScape stopped being awesome fairly recently. Some say it was with the EoC update. Others say it was with the return of Wildy/Free Trade. Still others blame the Grand Exchange.
It's awesome again, but not the current version.
Old School RuneScape is here, but only to RS members (P2P only, I'm afraid) who have voted on the poll at the current moment.
I've played it, and...it's far more challenging and fun than the current version. I also missed Tutorial Island, which has made a triumphant return.
If any SS members have any interest, here it is in all its glory.

Old-School RuneScape
Last I played that game was about a few months before the wilderness changes(PvP stuff removed and only allowed in specific sections) and the restriction on trading high value things(I couldn't be generous and gift people stuff worth like 60k in coins. Yes, I was pretty rich and also pretty nice. If I liked you, I'd buy you some expensive as hell armor,shield or weapon  )
I don't think I'll be ever going back...

Old-School RuneScape
They returned Free Trade and Wilderness (for all the good THAT did). They even got rid of (most of) the bots that plagued the RS economy.
The real pinnacle of the game, now, is the 2007 version. It is truly epic - worth buying a membership and voting to bring it back for.

Yeah, it does seem interesting the '07 version came back. I believe around that time in May, my best friend got a subscription so after a bit of time I asked my mother for one too. She allowed me a subscription but after 3 months (4 for my buddy since he started early) we both unsubbed. Got way too boring. 
Seven crappy hours of our lives.

HOLY CRAP! I just went to the poll and when it asked me for my login i was surprised that (at first just that the password i tried actually didn't have any numbers in it) it actually still has my log in...i thought they got rid of those after like 6 months of inactivity...i think i'm gonna go get on the free version and find out where the hell my character is at (btw, if anyone is asking...HE'S NOT A HIGH LEVEL BECAUSE I NEVER ACTUALLY REALLY TRIED AND I NEVER USED BOTS!...level is: idk bc i can't play it on my laptop because my skool has it set to make things think i have an outdated java (or maybe i really do) so that we can't play certain popular games)

^ If you've ever had membership or had a fairly decent total level, your account is never deleted. (Also, it's a year of inactivity. I checked.)
Still, the poll only works if you are a member, not a free player. I think that sucks, but...

i never bought membership and i haven't bothered to log in since 6th grad (i'm in 12th right now) and i'm not too sure about my level, but i think it was in the low 50s

Level looks different now that they released Evolution of Combat. It's 2 + Defense level + highest level related to a combat skill (I think). 200 maximum, 4 minimum.

well i haven't gotten around to remembering to get on it on my desktop, so idk what it is right now at all since there isn't a away to check your stats without getting online
