To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

here's a proposed solution
you have been subjected to unpaid and forced labor in prisons without the right to sit, stand, walk, or speak when you choose. your parents have the choice to allow you to be homeschooled but almost all of them have choose not to; i'm proposing a way for you to take it into your own hands.
the plan is to commit truancy and get away with it, without you getting arrested or your parents fined; we must have strength in numbers; we need to organize a scheduled, permanent, national student strike. the goal is to have half of the student population wake up one day, take the school day off, and not ever go back, so that you can get your education from better, quicker sources and on your own terms.
we can organize this by creating pages on facebook and other social networking sites and using the followers count to keep track of the amount of participants and announce a date when it has reached a critical point.

It can work if you have enough numbers in the same place. In fact, if you pull it off in even just one city, it might make the local news. That might help organize a bigger event. So... start small.

I think we all live too far away to do that. Some of us even in different countries And nobody at my school will listen to me. Now that I go to a school in the better part of detroit (mine turned into charter now, highland park is outta $) about half the school gives a fuck. And these people accualky want to please their parents. DICKHEADS!

ok if anyone wants to help, we can start by creating a facebook page explaining our cause, all that someone has to do to become a part of this is to click "like" and wait for us to amass enough people, so that they'll know when we have. after that we can get to spreading the message. anyone want to make the fb page?

here's a proposed solution
If students organize together in groups, it'll lend them strength(strength in numbers + mob mentality). When the group behaves as one, it forms a stronger barrier than one person could muster and will also empower the weaker ones in the group to an equal level.

If you replace the words "school" with prison in that pic, it still makes sense.
