To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Grades suck so bad
They came in today. They're low. The lowest of the low. It angers me because I got the highest grade in the final and the other big test in Science and yet it's a D. I aced the tests and yet it's still disappointing to my parents. They said I didn't pay attention well enough and I should stop reading in class. Well they bore the hell out of me. I hate myself. I know you shouldn't let grades affect your self esteem and no matte how many times I say I don't care - I do and it sucks. Is this how life is gonna be forever? I hate myself.

You hate yourself because you got a D in science? That shows incredible respect for an institution even the teachers scoff at when you're not around.

I guess I hate my science teacher more because I even though I aced all the tests she still gave me a D just because she hates me. I hate myself because I'll always be a disappointment. I do not respect that institution. Not at all. Even though I know they don't have this proper measuring stick for intelligence it still affects my self esteem. I hate myself for that too.

Grades suck so bad
I have ALWAYS said that if something in life is making you unhappy, don't pay attention to the thing. AT ALL. If you continue down this path of self hate, YOU WILL BE UNHAPPY. Do whatever it takes to cut out that self loathing of not being good enough. It isn't worth being unhappy.

She gave you a D because she hates you? Are you sure it wasn't about missed homework assignments or something? If not, you should ask to see exactly how she calculated her grades.

I agree with GreenLamp.
Definitely not because of missed homework. It's cause she catches me reading in class. Plus she's been a pain in the ass to us all ever since she got married.

I have D's in pretty much every one of my classes, my highest grade is a C...and that's in science...and i've always been better at everything else than science (only one grade i will admit that i legitamtely deserve...the other are kind of debatable since i did the homework and stuff) and now that it's my highest grade...i'm kind of shocked lol

I don't care about grades for subjects that I hate.
I only care about grades if it's a subject im passionate about (physics, IT).

My district has rules against giving grades based on behavior. And on top of that, we've been instructed not to try to discipline students for non-disruptive off task behaviors like reading or sleeping. She may be outside of her rights. That's all I'm saying.
