RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Well, you should tell someone about the teachers that are abusing you, and yes, that is abuse.
This is abuse? Then the idiot was more then abuse!

RE: Surviving this year
I am in a bad mood because the chick fil a is CLOSED ON SUNDAYS!!!!!!! What kind of retard came up with that!!!!!!! So I went to a pizza hut buffet somewhere else and I had a coupon, so I only spent $1 for all you can eat pizza, pasta, breadsticks, chicken wings, soda, ect. Pretty good deal considering all the food I ate. Multiple waiters were stareing at me open mouthed!

RE: Surviving this year
And it is all you can eat, so to survive the hobo would only need to find $1 every few days. And if they are willing to take a really lon walk or hitchhike to the rich parts of detroit, they could just beg for a day and go back here and get a few pizza hut buffets.

Exactly. Hobos don't have it so tough. We have had enough spare time to self homelessness in America, Britian, etc. I wonder when our medal arrives.

RE: Surviving this year
Court case yesterday was a VICTORY! (well, for now). When the idiot came, they made the mistake of not chaining her to anything. The case was going crumby, I was sure she would be with me again. When I talked about her throwing me out the window she said "oh no you little fuckface, you said you wouldnt tell anybody. Remember i said I would kill you?" And grabbed me by the neck, lifted me up and threw me quite far. The po po managed to catch her, and chained her to a pole. Just like she has done to me, but she uses rope! Revenge! HAHAHAHA! I am in duch a great mood! YES! She will be sentenced for another 2 months! HAHA! Then on trial again! HAHAHA THAT FUCKER!!!!!!! If she wants to get out, she should stop attacking people, but I am good with this because she will jever get out! HAHA LOL!

RE: Surviving this year
Ugh. The detention sulervisor is makeing me stand for the rest of the detention. She left the room now, but I am scared to sit because I wont be able to get up quickly. This hurts like HELL!!!!!!! I am super pissed. I swear, the next person to go near me will get hit so fucking hard! And recently my "good" ankle gave out with a very loud pop/boom noise. I am now lieing on the floor. And I cant get up. This sucks balls. For once in my life, I hope somebody will come in here now. Somebody who will help me up. This is CRAP! I am trying so fucking hard, but I just cant. And after the detention, what can I do about this? These crutches are just too hard. Even my "good" leg is giving me issues. The other leg has a broken ankle and completely ruptured achilles! And i have a broken wrist! This sucks ass!!!!!!!

RE: Surviving this year
if you're being forced to stand in detention, then just leave and go to your counselor or to the office and ask to use their phone to call the cops, because as big an obstacle the cops might be, they also work as a great threat when shit like this happens to you. If you get threatened with expulsion or anything for walking out then threaten back with a class action lawsuit (not sure what goes into this, don't wanna google it, but it seems to be the highest form of lawsuit and the most painful to the wallet) or just bring up all the shit that's happened to you in school and then ask whoever is yelling at you if they really want to keep building up the file of reasons you have to sue them.
yes almost all my solutions involve cops or court, but the fact of the matter is, if nothing else, your skool will treat you right after numerous threats that could kill their reputation and all that shit.
The less you try to control things, the less you need to.

RE: Surviving this year
A few problems with that solution. I cant get up (I am trying for all I am worth) and still nobody has come yet. It has been over an hour. So i cant just walk out. Threatening wont work, I have tried that. And the only phones is in principles office, and guidance, and both are attatched to cords. The cops are dumb, it wont work. But I hope somebody will come, I am trying hard as I can, and I cant get up. Probally because I have a broken wrist and one ankle is hurt badly, and the other is really sore and painful from carrying extra wieght and still very weak from giving out. So thats why I cant get up.

Surviving this year
HAVEN'T YOU PEOPLE LEARNED ANYTHING! VIOLENCE WITH WEAPONS IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER!(Unless jail is involved)
Congratulations humanity, because you refuse to let go of the old and evolve you actually make people believe in 2012. Not only that, but you're the only species on Earth that were able to make it possible, now we get to sit until we die because we couldn't get to Mars. We have failed as a society and don't deserve our gifts to survive for this long. Maybe this is why dinosaurs are extinct, we sure aren't any better than the dirt you say we're created from. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pla...DvwSOFto#!

RE: Surviving this year
Yippee! The footsteps I heard was one of my teachers, and she is accually nice! She walked in because she heard me shout and she screamed when she saw me. she helped me get up, but I immediatly fell to the ground even though she gave me my crutches. I landed on my bad leg. :( grrr! I screamed in pain. She decided to help me up again, this time supporting me with her arm. I of course fell again, but she was grabbing me firmly. I slid out of her grasp, and slid into a split. I screamed so hard that if anybody else had been here, they wouldve ran over. At this point, we were both seriously worried. She figured that there must be something wrong. So, she just picked me up (she is freaky huge, almost 7 feet tall)and really strong. She just held me on
my back as though I was a baby. She had no trouble carrying me at all! She then flung me in a chair i. the nurses office. Right now, she is looking for an ice pack. She will then try to help me somehow.

That sounds pretty painful - I think you have some evidence you can use against the school if ever they attempt something like that on you again.

RE: Surviving this year
The freezer with the ice in it is locked. Ugh. She looked at my "good" ankle and my wrist. She said they both look TERRIBLE! And I really need something done. The good ankle is red and swelling and hurts. She knows of a really cheap place to get stuff like that done, but it is after hours, and more expensive. So I will wait, if I even go. Since we live in the same building, she gave me a ride home, and helped me into my aparrment. I found out she lives across the hall from me. She said that she would give me a ride to that cheap clinic place if I decide to go. She says I really need to though. And she says I should really be in a wheelchair. But she did find an ankle brace in the nurses office
and suggested I use that after some ice if I decide not to do anything
about it. She says I really need to though. I wish all teachers were that nice.

Wheelchair sounds like a good idea... glad you have a nice teacher living nearby.

Yeah, I kinda am falling apart. But this is ridiculoys. I have suckey luck. I dont think it will do any good to talk to her about it, because none of the other teachers listen to her and are actually quite bitchy to her. A lot of other students are bitchy to her. She was probally so nice to me because i am one of very few who are accually nice to her. I dont think I need to go to the cheap cheap clinic. And using the crutches is fine. I just fall a few times a day. But it sucks a bit because it take me forever to gt up. But i still gt up. And I have a doctor appointment payed for by the idiot tommorrow for a cast change and to schedual the sirgery. Maybe he can take a look at my wrist and ankle too. These casts need to be changed so often bacause the position needs to change a lot because of the way the ankle was broken.
