RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

My used, clean, heavily modified 2009 Acura TL is gone and now I have a used and neglected BMW 3 Series 335i. I'm pretty sure the car was worth more than mine, but the owner was so eager to get rid of it I just told him they were about the same price. He wasn't very knowledgeable about cars, lol. Ive already washed the car and cleaned out the inside, so now I just have to change the oil, give it some sticky, lightweight tires, then I mod and race.

Yeah, unless you had the engine on that Acura tuned out real well (like we are talking a full engine swap here) you got a wayyy better deal. I would have taken that in a heartbeat.
Typo: 2012. Its the 6th gen. Even better, lol. If you just looked at the car, it was all dirty so to an average person it looked like a crappy car (besides the BMW logo) so the owner saw me pull in with the Acura and he wanted it. His car had some miles too cuz the owner's a delivery man for pharmacies. He would drive hours each day all other So Cal and bring drugs to different hospitals and nursing homes. So I said they should be about the same price and we swapped. Being smart is fun.

Dear Tumblrites:Despite your wrongly self-diagnosedPTSD, no line ofscientific evidencesuggests people can be triggered over theinternet. Triggering works through thesenses(i.e. smell, taste, touch, vision, hearing.) but it goes throughreal time; if you're not experiencing it in real life as it'sACTUALLY HAPPENINGin yourACTUALlife, youCANNOTbe triggered. The only exception to this is if you have aseizure, but then again, that's triggered byepilepsy(i.e. rapidly-changing flashing lights)NOT PTSD. Remembering a bad incident is NOT the same thing as having aflashback. When you remember, youthink; when youflashback, youfeel.

I don't care about pokemon or cars much.
I think I'm into cars more than into pokemon, but my interest/knowledge/whatever on them is still almost nil...
But lol that seems like a hell of a deal, seems like you really fooled the BMW's previous owner
Any pics?
Is that a picture of the car you have or the same model found on the Internet?

Rugrats was a younger stage than Pokemon for me, although there was some overlap. However, Pokemon defined my childhood much more than Rugrats ever did. However, the King of my young obsessions was Scooby Doo.

I watched both as a kid. I remember this huge, winged, orange dragon thing, a water-squirting turtle I think was called "Squirtle" and Pikachu. And those those two fucking creeps who'd appear out of the sky with a talking cat. That's about it. Rugrats on the other hand... I remember Chuckie, Tommy, Dil, Phil, Lil', Susie, Angelica, Spike, Kim, Reptar, all the parents, all the movies, all the awesome PS1 games...
Whereas The Queen of my young obsessions was Ash. And Shaggy obviously had a thing for Scooby.
