RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Post/discuss your favorite scenes from whatever films you've seen before here.
There will without a doubt be SPOLIERS EVERYWHERE.
Here's a few:
Blade Runner:

Probably my current favorite scene out of all the movies I've seen. Me and and a friend of mine who was watching it with me just sat in awe and stopped talking for awhile after this.

She's pretty damn wacky throughout the entire movie.

Close contender to Blade Runner's ending for me. It seems the whole world looks upon a miracle before returning to war once more.
+ The ending scene of this movie was totally unexpected, I don't think anyone saw it coming, especially from a company like Dreamworks. And it was just so refreshing to see an animation show that heroes don't always leave their battles without some sort of wounds. When I went to see it in theaters, it was like everyone in the entire theater stopped breathing for that moment. It was the strongest reaction I had ever seen in a movie theater (although I haven't seen many films in theaters).
If you haven't seen this yet, give it a chance. It's better than the trailers make it out to be. Yeah predictable story for the most part, but the way it's played out is great, and watching this in IMAX was absolutely fantastic and dare I say worth the several $20 tickets I purchased to see it.
Back to the Future:

Its hard to really choose a favorite scene out of these movies, because the whole BTTF trilogy is pretty awesome.

I can't find it right now, but I really enjoyed the scene in War Horse where the Germans and British had a temporary cease-fire to free the horse stuck in barbed wire - because the horse was neutral of all reasons.

And this scene is incredibly satisfying to watch. I'd love to do what he did to a ton of our politicians in office.

oh and also No one has any rights. We're free, rights create invisible restrictions. But we live in a society where the majority accepts rights to be true.

There's this scene in a French film from a couple years ago called Cosmos where the main character starts walking into the ocean holding an umbrella and with a towel on his shoulders and keeps yelling "I'm afraid of the water!"
