RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Look at him, look at him and laugh!
Heres the deal niggers, I have to write a 10 page paper(by thursday lol) on a problem in learning. The problem I picked was "Student aren't viewed as valuable".
I suck complete shit at writing and I was never a fan of adding fluff to shit I can say in one sentence. So if any of you want your chance to rage at a board of PHDs with regards to the topic I picked nows your chance.
Shit I have thought of, because I am not completely retarded
- Frame of reference never being able to contribute
- Creativity shunned
- Students are treated as knowing nothing the teacher knows all
- Forced old curriculum
- Tedious busy work
Cite your shit you faggots I'm not going down for plagurisim

RE: Look at him, look at him and laugh!
Heres a good quote and article i found:
"But anyone who knows anything about children and who allows himself or herself to think honestly should be able to see through this rationalization. Children, like all human beings, crave freedom. They hate to have their freedom restricted. To a large extent they use their freedom precisely to educate themselves. They are biologically prepared to do that. That's what many of my previous posts have been about (for an overview, see my July 16, 2008, post). Children explore and play, freely, in ways designed to learn about the physical and social world in which they are developing. In school they are told they must stop following their interests and, instead, do just what the teacher is telling them they must do. That is why they don't like school."

Ten pages?? Holy crap!! Even if you somehow do make that number of pages, tbh i wouldnt be surprised if whoevers grading or judging your stuff totally flunks it without even thinking about it. Good luck tho!

RE: Look at him, look at him and laugh!
You can't go to tah toilet because the teacher niggah said so, which, ladies and gentlemen is a denial of natural, private action. Therefore, school denies basic human rights (granted exclusively by the nature of the human body) and can be viewed as dictatorship with extreme control over it's 'society' or in other words students.
But the teacher CAN go to the toilet, so, apparently there is discrimination among the school groups and teachers are, I dare to say, held more valuable than the regular student, who comes there to learn.
How does it sound?

As much as I'd love to call my teacher a nigra no bueno, but I'll summarize that as because the student is looked down upon basic human needs such as getting a drink or going to the bathroom are big deals and sometimes denied
