To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Not that I am for his imprisonment, because what he did was awesome. But I think he may in fact have sexually assaulted two women....and for lack of better words: thats not cool =(

I have a nagging feeling that he didn't do what they are acusing him of and it just seems like a convienient way to get him in jail and stop publishing stuff

Damn I put american instead of sweden.

It was sarcasm I of course believe they are lying but when you control the courts and I love the use of the word traitor.

Trust me I am never one to overlook government corruption, and when I heard it was sexual assault they were arresting him for...well I thought it was just a pretty desperate scheme. But the women in question whom are accusing him of rape; they are quite convincing.

Its important to get people off a pedestal.

I hope they realize that putting Assange under arrest isn't going to change a thing. He is not vital to keeping Wikileaks alive. The people keeping up the website will continue to add information, and with the support of the world, it will be nearly impossible to take down Wikileaks or spread information from it without having to completely deny users access to the internet.

As for the rape charges, if he actually did it, then he deserves just as much jail time as the next rapist. However, I have a feeling his charges are going to be blown out of proportion just to get him into jail faster, and for a longer period.

There's over a hundred mirror websites up that have the same exact thing too... ^

The reason it's being hosted on wikileaks.ch is because they had to change their hosting over to the pirate party to continue their business.
