2) You do shit, nothing happens anyway, stuff still sucks, you are sad
3) You don't do shit, you are happy enough where you are, you don't want anything
4) You don't do shit, nothing happens, you still feel like shit, then you either:
a. Continue moping and keep falling into more shit (zagix)
b. Refer to options 1 and 2.

It's a pain in the ass but just because it's not fair, just, or logical, does not mean you should give up and drop out. You grab it by the throat and beat it until you succeed. That post was gold right up until this point. Now you listen to me and you listen good. Dropping out is not giving up. School isn't our choice in the first place. Dropping out is standing up for your humanity, your right as a fucking human being to not be forced or coerced. Sure, some people drop out for the wrong reasons, to smoke dope or waste time, but don't you fucking dare turn your once beautiful speech into some sort of message that these kids should give those tyrannical fucks what they want and follow the system. The entire reason I dropped out, and the reason I will never go back, is because I want to leave the example that you don't fucking need a piece of paper to prove your worth, to be a success as a dropout doing what makes ME happy.

Jesusaurus hasn't even posted here for a long time. If you want to dropout of school, you should at least have a backup plan.

That's all water under the bridge for me, dropped out about 6 years ago not regretting the decision whatsoever. I want something different in my life than just being a good employee and so do others who drop out, when you say have a backup plan you mean leave room for compromise. Compromise is the death of all dreams and ambitions, NEVER compromise on what you want out of your life.
What that person said was wrong and manipulative, he hid a pro-school agenda in some semi spiritual happy feel good rederic. If it's something forced upon you there is NO honor in finishing it. There is no honor in captivity and to suggest otherwise, to suggest that one should be proud of finishing school and not proud of dropping out and standing up for themselves is wrong. I shouldn't really have much opposition here given the nature of this site.

That's a good point thar.

Don't compromise, yes, but don't be too stubborn about getting to your goals in a very specific way either... you might need to be willing to adapt slightly if necessary. That doesn't mean you're compromising or giving up, just adapting.

Eventually, like the dinosaurs, humans are going to go extinct. l'm not going to change after life has to put you down all the opportunities it can get. Now don't get me wrong, my life isn't the worst. l've got internet, a place to stay and food. But if you consider all the people who don't have any of those things, the world IS fucked. You're only given opportunity due to a strong and major factor: luck. Although, it's not the only factor, luck is quite a big factor.
