To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Now we have to do work on snow days!

Today I was told that our school is trying out a brand new thing called snowbound. No one else in the entire state is doing it we are the first to try it lucky us. So if there is a snow day we still have to do work. They send a packet home with us with work from every class that is related to what we are doing in class. This sucks Snow days are our free days. Also if we don't do the work we are counted as absent.

I have no Idea but I don't want to see it. From the looks we may have a snow day tomorrow luckily snowbound is not in effect yet.

It supposedly snowed over 5 metres of precipitation in Nome, Alaska a few days ago. We have the usual grey and brown,desert-like landscape with cold rains to look forward to in Southern Canada.

Quite so. While my town has never taken a direct hit as long as I've been alive we have gotten plenty of residual wind and rain over the years

You're wrong. Calculus is cool, but I don't give a shit about rhetorical modes or doing this stupid public presentation/speech/acted out thing for history. I'd rather pull an all-nighter doing math, not that I'd particularly enjoy it and I'd despise it if I didn't understand it. The Egyptians probably used some form of math for the pyramids.

/each to his own and all the shit is useful, not that you should be crammed with Calculus since apparently you don't like it nor are interested on it but that doesn't mean it's useless and it sucks. AFAIK you don't even have to take calculus in high school or college if you're going to study literary shit, lol.

Anyway, fuck doing extra shitty homework that's just been given to you to reach an abstract goal that isn't all that necessary (high school diploma). If school wasn't compulsory and there wasn't so much damn pressure on homework, maybe more in tests, then I guess it could be justified.
