To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

My best friend I sit with is one of the quiet ones, not really on the radar. (This surprises the teachers immensely when they see me hanging out with him)

My other good friend is semi-popular, she's kinda quiet, but outspoken if that makes sense.

And then the population will shift randomly between 2 or 3 groups of kids. Us three are the only permanent members of the table.

I don't eat lunch at my school cuz I take online classes anymore. We may go to mcdonalds or something for lunch though.

the table is basically made up of one of my best friends/dudeiamtotallysecretlycrushingonbuthedoesn'tknowit, then like this guy i've known since 2nd grade (but i'm only like acquaintances with him; he's kind of creepy tbh and has hardly any social skills but is an artistic savant for serious), then these two other kids i hardly know, and lastly, this fucking stupid freshman with Asperger's or something. he has no self-control or social skills for shit and thinks everyone cares what he thinks and that he's funny as fuck when he's absolutely fucking neither. we've been trying to remove him from the table forever but he won't budge for shit.

one of my other best friends (Tiffany; i've known her since 6th grade—I once got her to sign up here back when I was big into anti-school nonsense but I forgot her username) used to sit there but her schedule for second semester got changed, which is lame because she balanced out all the dumbshittery.

i honestly have no idea how i've let myself sit there for the whole school year (it's not worth it to sit there just for one friend). one of my other friends has the same lunch period but i have no idea where he sits. i really need to go sit there if i cba to find his table.

I don't eat but my school makes you go somewhere at lunch so if there is an empty table at the library I go there and do my homework I need to do for my next two periods. If there is no empty table it depends. Nine times out of ten, there is, but if there isn't, I used to take a walk around the campus but then some slag tried to talk to me once about how it was distracting for me to walk down the halls during lunch. So to avoid the slag I go to the bathroom and take up the handicap stall the whole time. Or sometimes I go to the empty part of the school and sit down but slags always find you there. But usually I find a table.
