My school pros and cons

+ Teachers are nice
+Library where I can read something interesting
+ Tasty food

Cons

-Retarded classmates
-A VERY FUCKIN RETARDED KID that goes like fuckin crazy and shove me around.
-A VERY CRAZY FAT CHICK that throw things at my face.
-I always end up guilty when I am involved with trouble caused by a douche.
-They don't allow any kind of clothes that isn't school uniform.
-They make us pray every day (Christian school)
-There are always shit, drawings of penises and piss in the bathrooms

I drew a large box on the school's washroom wall that was titled: Draw a penis or joint on here. As of December 21st, the box has over 47 drawings of genitalia confined into it's 8 inch spacing.

Pros:
• There are a few teachers who are awesome, especially my history teacher
• Some of the kids there are very self-aware of the duldrum and wastefulness that is Western public secondary education
•Good music program and talented artists

Cons:
• Strictly religious, anti-atheist and homophobic
• Uniforms strip away the individuality of me and my peers
• Most teachers are arrogant, ageist, and reek of huge egos
• You can't sketch or write poetry in your notebook without being called a "nappy wanker faggitino" or some mixture of Italian-Canadian insults
• If you're not Italian, British or Irish, there's a high chance that you'll be relentlessly persecuted against.
• So many more obvious(and occasionally outrageous) reasons.

Pros: Foreign language classes, semi-decent hot lunches. The occasional unbroken smart kid.
Cons: AP kids get more homework/classwork as a reward for having demonstrated mastery of the curriculum we had last year, which are repeated this year. (No, I didn't repeat) Tons of rude kids. Mean teacher who teaches the most useless subject I know of, Technology Education. At least what's in the class is useless, not the subject necessarily. Out of control band. Tons of time devoted to Rachel's Challenge, on our half-days. One teacher who goes against herself (multiple personalities perhaps? haha) and assigns stupid projects. Useless class called Library, that teaches nothing and repeats everything. Art class that can only be described in the English language as dumb, stupid, mindless, nonsensical, and a host of other synonyms. I could go on...

*Some cool teachers here and there

My school's cons:
*Pretty dirty and slightly derelict.
*A bunch of cliques which I don't get along with. Swag kids/fake gangstas and the really stereotypical Latina girls are the ones that get on my nerves the most.
*Crap lunch. And the cafeteria has a god-awful smell.
*That history teacher that always gets on my nerves.
*Police on campus, and pretty bad zero tolerance policy.
*Really boring-looking place in general.
*Some pretty strict rules, like no iPods on campus.

• Coffee in the morning
• Sometimes sells Domino's Pizza, Komino Royale, Asian Food
• Is a bit relaxed on some rules(Such as the No Monster rule)

• Closed Campus
• High Prices for Vending Machines and Other things
• Zero Tolerance
• Two Bitchy Prinicpals (Our school has 5 prinicpals, one main one and 4 ones for each grade)
• Prior Review for Student Publications to be circulated on campus
• Bitchy Teachers

Pros:
-Two teachers who respect students(out of 6 periods)
-Some respectful and nice students(although there are annoying ones,
but the annoying kids don't purposely try to annoy you)

Cons
-You can't leave during lunch, break is only 15 min, lunch is only 30 minutes
-2 police officers on campus
-No joke,none of the rooms have windows
-All buildings look the same
-Some asshole teachers
-Homework, and homework over WEEKENDS.(odd, only end of workweek for adults?)
-PE required for two years, in which we do nothing pretty much
-Most teachers won't let you use your phone in class(with only two exceptions)
-Many teachers just drone on and on without ever letting students talk
-The bell. I absolutely despise it, it's so loud and annoying.
-Every single desk is the same, and the chairs are ATTACHED to the desks. It's the stupidest chair/desk design ever, in that you
can't move around with them and you can only get in from one side.(so if you drop something over the wrong side you have to ask someone else
to grab it for you)
-Food served at lunch which is very unhealthy and tastes like shit

And the biggest con of them all,
-I must attend.

Pros:
-Some really decent teachers
-A good fine arts program
-A separate hall where all the gifted kids are (I guess that's good for me? I'm not sure)
-Rewards for doing absolutely nothing at all (i.e, Cola for not getting ISS/OSS during the month of December)

Cons:
-Dirty Bathrooms
-Cafeteria food. 'nough said.
-Gym class. You don't really learn anything, all the teachers want is for you to study the things they provide on their website. You also get teams that are unfairly balanced during activities.
-The proxy on computers is dumb, blocking most videos and not allowing us to access internet resources.
-Lunch is 20 minutes, and that's the only break that you have the entire day.
-Unless you're in some sort of honor fine arts/extracurricular program, you don't have a field trip. 3 years without a field trip to some place.
-No music in the halls.
-Bitchy cafeteria ladies who curse near students.
-Mandatory clubs every Friday. The clubs are mostly uninteresting, but you're forced to pick one, like Recycling club, Star Wars or...Walking club.
-Most books get absolutely destroyed after a few months.

Pros:

- Nice fine arts program
- There are some decent people that aren't complete dumbasses
- A Subway and a bank inside the school building itself
- Some teachers and counselors are aware of the problems with the current educational system
- You can leave campus during lunch, whether you are a freshman or senior
- Electronic devices can now be used during passing periods and in class (with teacher permission), instead of only strictly before/after school and lunch like previous years. Great for doing research, coding, texting, etc. Makes a school day easier to bear.

Cons:

- The food is crap. I heard that the Subway in school charges more than the Subway chains outside, and I heard mixed things about the food.
- LOTS of idiots are crammed into the same building
- The building is severely overpopulated
- A lot of teachers are arrogant snobs
- People drop food all over the place and never clean up after themselves
- Bathrooms are fucking disgusting
- There are police officers present all the time
- Excessive use of bribery to get kids to come to school
- Truancy policy

*Very nice teachers (Except my current English teacher)
*Tasty food
*In December we watch the Christmas Panto where Year 12 and Year 13 students perform as teachers
*We are allowed to use Internet at breaktime and lunchtime (Not YouTube though)


Cons

*Stupid classmates who get others in trouble, throw things and EVEN take off my math teacher's headscarf and make her cry.
*People write things on the bathroom stalls such as "I hate you, Coldplay" and "Tick if you think you're pretty." They also write on the classroom doors and on the benches near C block and D block.
*My current English teacher treats students like dogs.

A few nice teachers (only a few.)
Clean bathrooms.
Peers are actually kinda cool.

I can't really think of much more.

Cons:
Mean teachers
Being treated like a little kid despite age.
Mean principals/directors.
This double standard system. (It would take too long to explain well here.)
The ridiculous amount of rules, as more are being made every few days.
None of the teachers really care about the students that much.
Lots of school work.
P.E.
"Time out room" concept. (See second con)
We're not allowed to argue back if we have something to say.
Many more that I can't really think of easily...

-Substitute teachers with interesting stories
-Almost no fighting whatsoever
-Decent school lunches
-A quiet and friendly library

Cons:
-Noisy kids in the back of the class
-The same routine each day
-If you have any public view that isn't left of centre, you'll be called names
-Very limited class selections
-Teachers rarely work through concepts with their students
-A few teachers who let others walk all over them
-Long bus rides for clubs (50 minutes when my usual is 20 minutes)
-Counsellors who spew the same old rubbish over and over again

-no bullies whatsoever, and if you want to be a bully then be prepared to bring some bandages
-very few homeworks
-you can make friends easily
-my geology teacher
-monthly riots during recess that makes us go home early, i am not joking
-computer class
-all doors leading to the outside are open but BE WARNED
-the local gangs, there some pretty fun to watch fights when the school is over
-bathrooms are a safe haven when skipping class, if you can mind the smell

cons
-you have to pay for lunch, yes PAY
-my math teacher
-the principal
-the administration
-the schools nurse who will give you panadol even if your legs shattered
-sudden tests and the grin on the teacher's face when he give us one
-no p.e class :(
-if you were late for class, even for 1 minute then you will be registered absent for the whole day and a message will be sent to your parents
