To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Please do not make a mirror copy of the forums in their current state - things will still change, and some people have requested to be able to edit or delete some of their personal info.

I'm pretty sure soulriser doesn't ban people either. Not without a damn good reason. 'Waaaah, my pussy hurts and I don't like it here anymore' doesn't count as a good reason.
And besides, even if you do succeed in deleting all your posts, that doesn't mean you'll be gone from the site. All Soul Riser needs to do is back up the system to last week, and you'll be back where you started.
Cray, I can understand why you want to leave. The forums have been on a downward slope of fail for quite some time. You've probably grown out this place, like Hannah and a few others. To be honest, I don't want you to go. You're one of the few excellent posters left. But you must do what you must do, and I respect that.
But I don't see why you should delete fucking everything. Is the current state of this place really that bad that you wish to remove all trace of you being here? Surely you can move on without having to destroy any evidence that you were here? I mean, you have 10,000+ posts. You would fuck up a lot of conversations if all your posts were removed.
To be honest, your Dad sounds so bigoted and ignorant that nothing you or anyone else says can really change him. Taking the piss out of mystery and his faggotry is sort of tradition here, and I'm sorry if you felt we cared more about him than you.
Does it really matter? Unless you've posted any personal info or pictures of yourself, it doesn't matter if your posts will be deleted or not. If you have done so, Soulriser should delete those by your request.
Otherwise, nobody knows who you are in the real world; you'd be a ghost, a shadow in a doorframe, stepping out of the light, in which we could already not see you in the contrast, your brief moment here on SS, gone forever, whose past may be seen by another at a certain point; only for them to ask "who was that poster...?"

Anyway, I sent her a PM 2 or 3 days ago and she hasn't answered, so I'm guessing she's gone.
Maybe this sounds insensitive, but I just don't really get the point of all this. I mean, what is she angry about? That we had the nerve to not be able to magically reach through the computer screen and fix all the problems in her home life? That's not fair. Lots of people have posted about the bad shit that happens to them in the real world. We vent, get some words of encouragement, then get back to the hard work of trying to solve our problems as best we can. It sucks, but what else can we do over the internet? There's no rational reason to just suddenly lash out an a forum of people scattered all over the world because they couldn't change your family for you.
I think Buenaventura Durruti is a pretty cool guy. eh kills fascists and doesnt afraid of ruins. The quickest way to kill a revolution is to wait for it.

Might be sexist and I'm putting a huge target dart on myself but Crayola was being selfish and unreasonable.
I don't see why this is a woman thing, I mean...I'm a woman...well partially. Actually scrap that, I'm gender neutral when it comes to hormones and emotions, so I don't count.
