Where do you think you stand? How much clout do you have on SS? Are you regarded as an oldfag? Do people respect you? Do you sway others opinions? And finally, does everyone agree with that persons self-assessment?

Obviously SS prides itself on equality and fairness, which is awesome, and even trolls around here are treated with more respect than noobs are on other websites, but there is, I think, some sense of seniority on here. It's not necessarily a good or bad thing, it just kind of happened. It's inevitable in any community, some people gain respect and recognition for their contributions while others remain in the shadows.

For those of you that were around when Rebelnerd was at large, he undoubtedly had a shit load of respect and clout. And not only because he was an administrator, or one of the "founding" members either. He was intelligent, he made good points, he kept interesting conversations going and was a very interesting person. Wes was kind of the same way, but he was less assertive.

I don't think it's solely based on the time you've been on here, either. Soulriser fucking started the site, and while she ultimately makes all the decisions, this place is basically run like a democracy. She doesn't seem to influence too many of our opinions. (You know, aside from turning the majority of us into radical anti-schoolers lol.)

So anyway, you get the point, here I go:

I think I'm regarded by some of the newer members as somewhat of an oldfag, but as a medium-fag by the real old-fags. I'm certainly not regarded as a noob, but I don't think I'm thought of as one of the really old members, either. I'm a moderator, so I'm pretty sure most people know I'm a regular here who has at least done something helpful, but my personality isn't that assertive, so I don't think people think of me as a Rebelnerd type of guy.

I've been told I'm a "pretty nice guy", which I guess is true enough, but that tells me that I'm not really thought of as an authority type figure, which I guess I like. Most people who are thought of super-highly or as an authority are feared to an extent, or are respected to a point where people don't think of them as "nice", they generally think of them as someone to be careful around or some shit.

I have to admit that when I was a noob, e.g., the first few months I was on this site, I tried really hard to get respect and I wanted to be able to say I was an oldfag or something. Course, that faded over time when I realized most people on SS judge you based on what you contribute / who you actually are, not by how many threads / posts you make or weather you are a moderator or not. Which is a plus in my book. Anyway, I don't think of myself as anyone important. I think I'm generally thought of as an alright guy, maybe I have a little less respect than the average user, but I think I'm pretty average. I used to think I was a big shot, but then I realized I was just being cocky and silly. Anyway, I wrote too much already. Your turn.

Oh lol. I don't know. I think you are feared by noobs due to a lot of your jokes. Thought of as a somewhat oldfag. I used to think you were similar to Bobman since I got your names mixed up and shit, but the differences are pretty clear now-a-days. I'm an oldfag, and I'd like to think I'm respected, but nobody really looks up to me for inspiration, or things like that. I've got veteran status, that's about it. When I think about it, I'm not really sure how many people sway others opinions other than Soul. It's like you said, equality and fairness.

Though I do have certain perks in some areas. I used to be a moderator, and all I had to do was ask.
