To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I'm probably the biggest elder scrolls modder here and I can say I hate steam too. If you torrent that you can still get the old school type of files with the data folder instead of the shitty steam wherever-the-fuck you put it files.

1. It doesn't work on my computer for some reason. I get random internet errors/dll errors and bugs and it won't work.
2. If you buy a 1player game like Skyrim, fallout or any other one of these 1player rpgs, you should be able to just play them without having to go on the internet, but steam just kind of monopolized everything.

don't get me wrong, steam seems like a good thing for internet multiplayer gaming like tf2, but for 1player stuff that doesn't require internet, steam should just stay the fuck out. IMO

It's a fantastic distributor. Some games are better with mods, and being on Steam makes that somewhat more annoying.

But hey, it's not Origin.

Oblivion and Morrowind do have male nude mods. Everyone seems to have 9 inch schlongs, though Laugh

wut... Mine has a normal Data folder. It's just under the steamapps/common/skyrim folder. But it's still there and mods work perfectly fine.

I got Skyrim this christmas, it's the reason why i wasn't on this site. I'm new to the series, but i turned it to novice difficulty but it is way too easy. I'm going to play it on medium difficulty next. By the way, what is the best race for starting players?

I beated the game, and I'm way too lazy to do the side quests. Gonna wait for a DLC to come around, so I can download it for FREE. Some kind of a bug is happening in my Playstation Network.

For mage: High Elf, Breton, Dark Elf.
For theif/assasin: Kajiit, argonian, wood elf.
For Heavy armor Warrior: Orc, imperial, redguard.
For skirmisher/light armour warrior: nord, reguard.
