RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.
-SoulRiser

Hey Faby, you're an Elderscrolls fag
Does Skyrim live up to its family name and face full life consequences or is it as they say and dumbed down for CoD Kiddies?

Dunno, I've been wandering around woods and killing wolves, so at least in that regard it is fairly much like Morrowind and Oblivion xD

RE: My Skyrim screenshots
Skyrim is £29.99 at GAME.
I have a £20 GAME voucher.
£9.99.
Skyrim comes out tomorrow.
I won't be able to run it on high. Yet. I just miss the requirements by .2 Ghz, got 1.8 ghz but it won't make much of a difference since I have a good graphics card and shizz. Hopefully it won't be one of those 'if you dont meet the minimum requirements you can't install' installations. I am going to upgrade my CPU in the next week though so I'll probably be able to max it. It's funny, I've had this computer for 5-6 years and all I have needed to do was change parts.

Mmmm. I just ordered this. Looks pretty. How's the level up system work? Same as Oblivion or different?

Did you just say 29.99 pounds? It's like $80-100 here in Australia. Why the fuck do we get shit so expensive....
Also, what's your GPU?

It's Matellius's (my character) favourite way of killing people. Aside from burning them. And electrocuting them.

RE: My Skyrim screenshots
Holding the mouse button assigned to a spell. Basically, what I've seen till now is that spells are split into two categories:
-Chargeable
-Flamethrower
Chargeable spells keep loading if you keep either LMB or RMB pressed; the more you load it, the stronger it is upon release. Flamethrowers just spew the spell continuously, from the moment you click the button until you're out of mana.

Ah ok. I play on XBOX360 but I am guessing the spells I have are strictly *flamethrower*. Using spells in this game feels so much more epic than it did in Oblivion. Sadly with my light armor one handed and destruction and sneak I am great offensively but I die quick haha

I don't use any armour at all, what with playing a pure mage... I'm great from a distance and whenever I'm chock-full of magicka potions, but up close I tend to die rather quickly.
