RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

The forums are mostly read-only and are in a maintenance/testing phase, before being permanently archived. Please use this time to get the contact details of people you'd like to keep in touch with. My contact details are here.

HAHAHA I TOLD YOU GUYS IT WOULDN'T DIE!
Go to work. Send your kids to school. Follow fashion. Act normal. Walk on the pavement. Watch TV. Save for your old age. Obey the law. Repeat after me: "I am free."
Chaos fuck yeah!
Now we need to see some cops being burned and beaten and my day will be complete.
Edit: its almost comical to see the pathetic faces whine about getting a job or career in this day and age in the comments.
Well least these will be fun to watch as their reality is shattered.
Peace, violence is never going to solve anything. Violence will never result to peace because in that "peace" there will be someone who was affected by previous violence.

I know it won't.
Just Kind of fun to watch.. Like a train wreak or car accident.
I've been hearing of these protests for a while, but kinda never bothered to actually look into WTF is going on... turns out it's actually interesting. Nobody's really in charge, and it's basically almost pure anarchy.

Anarchy for the USA
It's coming sometime and maybe
I give a wrong time stop a traffic line
Your future dream is a shopping scheme
Cause I wanna be anarchy
In the city
Is this the MPLA
Or is this the UDA
Or is this the UK
I thought it was the USA

Hwat. Seems like a lot of them want a redistribution of wealth lol. Probably not going to happen. Also, a bunch of them want an amendment that would restrict how much corporations and non-citizens can donate to politicians. Which is fine by me.
They seem to be leaning mostly to the left.
Eh, hopefully shit changes, but until they figure out exactly what they want, I'll reserve judgment. As long as they don't become a factious majority and start pushing through laws, I'll be alright... Madison thought well.
Also, I can't help but think some of those violent "protesters" are cops...
The people in Wall Street are a bunch of mean meanyheads! I made a loan that I didn't have a chance in the world to pay back, and now they've taken back the money that I owe them!
I'm all for wealth distribution, but this is ridiculous. They earned their money. The protesters are a bunch of fucktards going "Herp derp, how do I currency?".
The Occupy protests are a sign of the rapidly fading notion of common sense being possessed by the average person.
Except for all of the people who reasonably trusted triple A stocks, bonds, and investments only to have them fail a few years later. Or the guy who has been investing for his whole life in hopes of retiring until the fuck head banks started lying about how stable certain funds were, causing that person to loose any chance of retiring early, or at all...

Hate to disagree with you Mr anti American super Aussie but with all the shitty predatory lending, behind interest rates and reselling loans to other companies and jacking interest and other shit along with the reselling loans I would have to disagree with you.
Crikey aye!!

Oh but the banks that gave loans to people who should have never have gotten them deserve no fault? I lent money to a friend who I had a feeling wouldn't pay me back. He never did. It is my fault as much as his. The banks fuck up by taking way too many loans and cause economic collapse and then the government bails out the banks. Makes no sense. The banks should have fallen and everyone who took loans would go down too.

Agreed. But if you are at fault, you are at fault. The dumb fucks that borrowed their way into financial insecurity can fuck right off.
I agree with the aim of the protests. I do not agree with the protesters.

Agreed too. Loans are way to prevalent in our society. So are credit cards.
