To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

No. If I did my life would be even worse, with my parents that is.Mad But since half of my life's problems can all be rooted back to school and anything it's affilated with.Upset

there is a bright side to staying in school. (hit me now, or forever hold your peace).

the bright side is doing shit inside of school to protest how unfair school is and to inform other students that they're wasting their time. in other words: if you can't quit, see how many others you can GET to quit Smile

That's why I think any little thing aganist school counts. Even if it's something as small as dropping a paper on the floor on propose, it allways sends a clear message.Wink

Yes I have the same problem too, but I've learned to be quick and cunning aganist teachers. They always seem to have a tolerance before they explode, I always push them to that level but not so much that they do shit like calls home or a refferal to the office [at your school they may call it diffeent, it's just a report to the office and they do shit like lunch detentions and suspensions]. Then I let up and do it again the next day:biggrin:!!!

but i didn't tell my parents because once i read TLH then i knew i wanted to go that way - if i did i'd get yelled at again; scolded/taunted/ridiculed/put down 2 many times

now here comes interims

well, technically there's another way

if your parents are that bad to the 1st GUEST, you could run away or live in with a friend/relative/family that understands/knows

i read TLH last year and when i finished i had my mom read it. i'm sure she skipped through the whole thing. she said it was interesting but i doubt she read more thna 10 pages. when i asked her if i could unschool she said my grades in public school showed that i wasn't responsible enough to learn things with out structure... i think she overlooked the fact that my grades in public school showed that i wasn't learning there it had noting to do with responsibility. and home schooling, im not responsible enough for that either according to mom...so im stuck in public school for another year day dreaming of freedom.
