To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

i tried to watch it, but its never really on when i can watch tv. the coyple of episodes that i've seen were pretty good though...

i think it's the best show on tv. not only is it a great epic/scifi show, it's really political too. you can always get the dvd if you can't see it, but you'll need to see all the episodes to fully understand what's going on.

they used to show it in the morining when i eat breakfast, but i'm not awake enough at 6am to pay attention to something with a complex plot. plus, they just switched that timeslot to old Twilight Zone episodes, which i like better anyhow.

yeah, twighlight zone is funny. but BSG is on at 11pm on fridays, scifi channel if you want to see it a lot.

I like SGA and SG1 better than BSG, but they are all good. The thing is, the original was much better, in my opinion.

i watch SGA, but SG1 sucks. BSG is better than all those put together.

and bungalow, you shouldn't hate an entire genre if you havn't seen all of it. there's some really good scifi out there, it's not all just spaceships and lasers. for example, during the cold war a lot of authors and directors used scifi to warn about nuclear war and thigs like that.

star trek sucks. it's boring, the plot makes no sense, and the special effects cost about 1$. but science fiction is basically any fiction that involves technology or scientific pnenomema, from aliens to nulear war to cloning to psycho robots etc... it just can't have magic. it's such a huge genre it's really impossible to hate ALL of it.

yeah, of course it was scifi. if it has aliens, chances are it's scifI! and that movie kicked ass, did you see the sequel Aliens? it was actually better, which is pretty rare. THAT movie is scary, especiall the first part in the power plant...well you'll just have to see it.

never seen that one. i saw alien vs. preditor. there was this one scene that was freckin disturbing. the scene where the alien was laying the eggs. ughhhh Poop No

but there was really one movie that scared me. The Ring...it only scared me the 1st time i saw it...mainly because it was the 1st horror movie i ever saw. that girl in the closet scene freaked me out

Aliens, Predators= <3 (Except Predator 2)

I don't really find Aliens scary. It was actually kinda funny to see all the dudes get killed.
AVP could've been better,too. Funniest part was the first Chestburster scence. Hilarious..

yeah. sometimes the funniest parts are the ones that arent supposed to be jokes.
for example: Predator. that movie was supposed to be a serious movie, but i laughed my ass off for the whole time(except the part where the guy gets his earrings ripped out(i got my ear pierced just before i saw that movie))

predator was ok, there was just mo real point. it wsa just fighting the whole time. aliens was basically about vietnam; overconfident marines go in, get asses kicked by hidden enemies, can't get out.

i agree, it wasn't that great and pairing it up with Alien is evil. the alien movies are about 100000 times better.

the alien movies were better because they good plots and good acing, not because they had a cooler idea.

it's just that predator and alien were so cool, but then they put them together in a mindless, overhyped action movie that was so obviously to make tons of cash. it's an insult to the two creatures. what they should have is them teaming up and slaughtering those hollywood bastards. now THAT would be a good movie. Mwahaha
