why does everybody hat e the president? from where im standing the grass is green. the way i see it is that the people that are complaining "why are we in iraq?" would be complaining "why arnt we in iraq?" if we hadent invaded. people by nature like to bitch about stuff.

1. he managed to fall of a segway, which was supposed to be un-tippable, makes grammer mistakes on a regular basis that would shame a kindergardener, was a C student in college and only went becuase his daddy bougght his way in, and many more.

2. His brother is the governor of Floria, the state that made all the difference, and there was literally a crowd of republicans banging at the door of the vote counting room trying to stop the recount, because it may mean bush would lose.

honestly, i can't find a single thing about him that would make him even remotely vote worthy, and i don't know where you got the idea that we would be complaining if we didn't invade iraq, but it's not true at all.

*clears throught*
a segways is equiped with a internal motion sensitive gyroscope. by shaking it violently enough such as going over a curb or there abouts it can lose its gravitational center and must settle for a few seconds to regain its center of gravity. now whilst on a segway a person lets it do the balencing for them. so in the instance it loses its gravitational center the weight usually ballanced by the segway can set it off ballence.... see easy to do ^_^

i heard that bush was being interviewed, and the reporter asked "what do you think is the highlight of your time in office?", and he said somethin like when he went fishing, and caught this fish. i think thats proff enough that he is a dumbass.

Well, somebody had to do it, plus the "lesser of the two evils" reminded me of a bumper sticker I saw today. Has anyone seen "Tales of Plush Chthulu" on the web? Look it up. It's pretty fucking funny, especially if you've read much Lovecraft.

Oh, and speaking of Bush I was reading blogs (Bilmon's Whiskey Bar) last year, and was inspired to write this:

Does it not seem like Bush the Lesser (i.e., Dubya) has whole lot in common with Elvis the Larger (i.e., Fat Elvis)? Think about it:

1. He is surrounded with sycophants who help maintain the "bubble" that makes him happy.

2. He lives in a kind of tacky white house with Greek revival columns.

3. He wants a damn cheeseburger for christsake. See, for explanation:

4. Bush has his own plane, though it doesn't have TCB on the tail (though he does take care of business in the sense of enriching corporate cronies). However, he has been seen emerging from a plane to a flight deck with "Mission Accomplished" on a banner hung above it.

5. Elvis had the Colonel (Jim Parker) and Bush has the Brain (Karl Rove), both of whom try to do some of the heavy lifting for him.

6. Elvis died on the shitter; Bush choked on a pretzel. Yes, of course, he didn't die (sadly), but such a death would have been similarly unspectacular, unheroic, and silly-seeming.

7. Like Elvis, Bush has a well-hidden dependency on pharmaceutical "helpers" to keep him on an even keel (anti-depressants, rumor has it).

8. Both the Presleys and the Bushes had family compounds (Graceland and Kennebunkport).

9. Both Elvis and Bush left their boyhood homes to find greener pastures.

10. Both Elvis and Bush have a signature facial expression (the sneer and the smirk)

11. Elvis had the Memphis Mafia and Bush has the Mayberry Machiavellis.

12. Elvis defined "cool" for a generation and Bush defined "fool" for an entire nation.

Feel free to pile on. This is a lot more fruitful and fun than I ever hoped.
Oh, and by the way, I really do feel this casts a pall on the legacy of Elvis, who at least had something positive to contribute to his country (the fusion of hillbilly music with black music), did not avoid military service, and ultimately was a somewhat crazy, but sincere guy.
