To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Log in troubles?
lately iv had to log in manually though i check the "log me in each time i visit" box. whats the deal

Yeah, I used to have a lot of log in problems.
The whole "When I log in, the screen goes white" thing fucks up.

I have problems logging in too. Sometimes I will log in, but it won't give control over my account i.e. it says I'm logged in but it isn't logged in on my browser.

I've been having some troubles too with the autologin thing.

Seriously, I didn't code the forums, so I don't know how they work, so if they screw up, it ain't my fault! 
But if it starts doing it more often or stops working completely, then I'll have to look into it. If it's not a problem I can replicate on purpose, then I don't really know where to start looking... :(

I dont do that aumoatic thing because my dad resets the computer a lot and i have to keep selecting that anyway. i also clear ym history at school, which also deletes that when i log in. so I dont even bother with it anymore.

I'm still having trouble with logging in. Every time I log in it doesn't work. Then I log in again and because I logged in before, all the new replies are marked as read. The I have to go through the "more new posts" list manually.

It does that to me sometimes too. But I check the "keep me logged in" thingie, so I'm always logged in, except sometimes it forgets me and that's when I have problems. I've searched google a bit and haven't found a solution yet. Will keep trying...
