Youth rights and you

I think we will never achieve youth rights while we are young because too many people shift away from the cause as they get older. if you are really serious about this, I implore you, STAY WITH THE CAUSE!

When people get older, they still go against public schooling if they see it in the big picture as a political issue instead of just "School is boring". When we become adults, we start having to pay tax money for it.

Yeah school takes away our freedoms of speech and expression. My school now doesn't let you have specific pictures on your binder. Like goofy pictures and X's!!!!!!

Indeed. I think a key factor is that when you're out of compulsory education you start to give less care for it all and because you have your new found freedom you just can't be bothered and focus on life at the current moment in time. I'm still a firm believer that school should NOT be compulsory. I remember my days in school clearly and I don't think my stance will ever change. I don't think about it much now since it doesn't affect me as much as it used to, but the passion is still there, forced education is vile, disgusting and completely unatural.

Another problem is that a lot of people don't take youths seriously, "it's just a phase" (which is bullshit). It's kind of sad when actually, the majority of children and teenagers realise that youth rights and compulsory education is really screwed but they are distracted by material goods and social tidbits. And when they get older they will probably claim it was just a phase.

And people generally mistake me when I say that we should abolish compulsory school (WHAT ABOUT ZE EDUKATIONS?!). We should get rid of the compulsory aspect (because that is just dressed up forced labour, no one can deny that) but education should still remain.

I honestly believe if the next few generations of humans were educated without compulsory school and rather by means of self-teaching, libraries, the environment, learning centres etc. then we would be looking at a better country altogether.

...Or they would learn how the economy works. Doing things for yourself wouldn't be practical at all, you can't really go about feeding yourself in a big city with no work. We can still have material goods and consume, there wouldn't be much wrong with it if everybody was educated in a good way.

You can't do everything yourself. No one is truly 100% independent. Humans are social creatures. Though we would probably do more things ourselves. We would probably stop bullshit from happening (IE: Government bailouts, Obama giving millions to companies who lose the money, etc.)
