To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Shouting
Should teachers be allowed to scream, yell or shout at students? Don't you think it is uncivilised and a bad example?
Somehow teachers seem to adopt a hostile attitude towards students, and think they are there to discipline students by yelling at them.
Most importantly, what would you do if a teacher yells at you?

I don't really think there should be a rule against teachers being able to yell at students, however, teachers shouldn't yell at students.
Also, if a teacher yelled at me, I would just tell them to calm the fuck down.

Yeah, I've yelled back once or twice. Incredible feeling, particularly watching the teacher's shock. Recently I've dreamt about doing it a lot. Fun as hell, but probably not a good sign

i had this summer school math teacher named mr delligattii and he would yell at us for the littlest things. one time i he gave us a math prblom and insisted that he taught us how to do it the day before (th entire class had aggred that he diddnt) and i got it wrong so he bitched at me for like 5 minutes and flipped over my desk and all that shit then sent me out into the hall because of it and he tought the class when i was out there and then 5 minutes later he told me to come back in so i did fliped my desk back over and everything then he came over and asked me to try again so i did and like before i failed and he yelled at me some more then eventuily i yelled out "how the fuck am i soposed to know something iwas never taught in the first place!" and he started yelling at me about how he just explained how to do it to the entire class so i explaned to him that its kind of hard to hear someone through like 3 feet of bricks and shit but he diddent care then said that i was being disobideant and everything and i got kicked out of summer school for it and had to repet 7th grade.

I have no problem with teachers yelling but, if they direct it at me im gunna yell back. Then if they proced to bitch me out ohh is the class in for a ride. Ill pull out the BBQ grill and some souce and we have our selves a roast

as stupid as it sounds ya i kinda think it was. hes had it comming for years now and noones done it. i a have friends who have had him and they said that noone has even talked back to him so i think jsut plain yelling back at him was a pretty big blow to his ego (he diserves it). soposidly he quit taching and noone knows why but i doubt i had anything to do with that. i saw him after he kicked me out and we talked and he was yelling at me the entire time and i was jsut like calmly explaining to him that theres a diffrence between teaching people yelling to gain respect and dicipline and shit and just plane being a asshole but i dont think he really got any of it.

I think that if a teacher shouts at any student, they should expect to be shouted back at.
When a pupil starts shouting at one of them, they act so surprised, and I'm convinced that most of the time they can see why they are being shouted at, but it would look bad for them if they did nothing about it, so they call the "senior members" of staff to come and sort the "problem" out. But there is no problem, and if there is, the only problem is them, with their untouchable status in the school.

I've never really had teachers yell at me, but there have been a few times when I may be talking to a friend, and then I hear a teacher shout out my name to be quiet. I always feel so red in the face, really uncomfortable and nervous. I would like to shout back, but I never can find the voice. I don't like it, and if students aren't allowed to shout, why should they?

The only teacher that yelled at us was my Biology teacher, but she was a bitch and no one cared in that class.
