RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I just saw a UFO...
MikEms was outside, and told me to come out quick to look at something. So I go out and there's this light that looks like a star in the sky, to the west. But it was moving... up and down and to the side, sorta randomly. Not really going anywhere. So we stared at it for a few minutes, and it kept doing that, then it started moving to the left, its movement stabilized, and it flew slowly allll the way across the sky and then disappeared behind some hills in the south. It flashed reddish a few times on the way.
After that, Mike stayed outside and saw 4 shooting stars within about 10 minutes of each other, and 2 of them were in almost the same place...
I've seen something like this moving star thing once before, but that time it didn't fly all the way across the sky (we left before it did, assuming it would have left).
Any ideas what that could have been?

Meteor. We have millions of them.
And if MikeEms LIVES with you, why doesn't he come on anymore?

Meteors dance around in random directions before they decide where to go?

It could have been a plane. From my research, most UFOs seem to be thoughtforms or tulpas.

every meteor decides where it wants to go. it explains why earth hasn't been wiped out yet, because we're too pitiful for it to care.

Yeah. A plane flying through some REALLY majorly huge air pockets... And planes have lights flashing all the time, that thing's light was on all the time. It just went reddish a couple of times. Stunt plane with a spotlight, maybe? Out at 3AM... I dunno.

That was... different. It was in the sky for about 2 weeks or something...
Here's the post I made about it: http://www.school-survival.net/phpbb/vie...php?t=3320

OMG!!! ALEENZ!!!!
Seriously, don't worry, it's your imagination.
The only thing I believe might be real are ghost and I think they have a perfectly scientifical explanation beyond human comprehension.
Aliens might be too.... I just don't care, it doesn't concern me.

It's my imagination that both I and MikEms saw a "star" move from one end of the sky to the other, after hovering about randomly?
I didn't say it was aliens, I'm just saying I can't think of an explanation for it. UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object, which is precisely what that was
