RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017

The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.

To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

-SoulRiser

The forums are mostly read-only and are in a maintenance/testing phase, before being permanently archived. Please use this time to get the contact details of people you'd like to keep in touch with. Send me a message if you'd like to keep in touch with me & Steve.

Please do not make a mirror copy of the forums in their current state - things will still change, and some people have requested to be able to edit or delete some of their personal info.

Quote:...When I was five or six, I had a reaccuring dream (Maybe three or four times) of me taking a shit and then throwing it on my mom while she was on the shower...

Now that I think about it, I also once had a dream where I took a crap so big, it lifted me out of the toilet about 200 feet in the air... Woah. o.o

You have crappy dreams Laugh

The other night, I dreamt I was in this large building, where every single room was a lift on its own that you could use to go to other floors. Even the bathroom. Yes, I went down a lift with a toilet in it. I have no idea where that came from. The rest of it was really nice though... I was outside. And it was really nice. Except for this one bit where we walked past these dead people lying in the road and just sort of inspected them and walked on as if it was nothing out of the ordinary. That part was a bit odd. Maybe I just didn't like that part of the dream and wanted it to go away and get back to the nice stuff Laugh

Last night I dreamed I went to the park with my dad, and there was a cute waiter there. but Icwas a cat and he was a dog. for some weird reason.

Re: The Dream Topic

Whoa. Tonight I had the probably most peculiar dream in my life.. I dreamt that I had some sort of itch on my neck and I scratched it, and cut my blood artery (sp?) and I rushed to the bathroom and blood gushed into the sink lol.. must've been several litres... And I shouted for help but when my brother came he just said I was hallucinating because he didn't see anything. Damn it was a really weird dream.

Last night I kept dreaming I was in Supreme Commander, running away from some really tough opponent, looking for a place to hide and rebuild my base. That sucked.

Re: The Dream Topic

I have this reoccurring nightmare where someone in black or brown tattered clothes (Think the Dementors from Harry Potter) kept trying to kill me, but only succeeded in killing my family members and friends.

Another dream was when I was in South America trying to escape zombies. Then, somehow, I was transported to Spain or Paris, again trying to escape zombies. Finally, I was transported to my uncle's room. He was on the computer. I was trying to warn him about the zombies, but he didn't believe it. We then heard a rumbling. We looked out the window toward the river by our house. It rocked violently, and all of a sudden, hundreds of zombies came out of it. I turned to my uncle again, but I woke up before I could say a word.

My oddest dream was in my grandmother's house. I was engaged in a bloody battle against another, crueler version of myself. Perhaps it was a warning of things to come.

My favorite dream was when I was a white wolf running through a peaceful, snow covered meadow.

For some reason, most of my dreams are nightmares. :waah:

Re: The Dream Topic

I've had some strange ones over the years, that I have for some reason remembered.

Lot of them involve falling. Like falling from the ceiling of the gym, slipping off of a mountain, and falling off of a tree.

Also, I've had a lot that involve the area around the creek in my back yard and the street behind my property. Not sure why that is. Then again, I'm not sure about the origins of any of my dreams.

Haha, this made me lol today,

I dreamt that I was actually waking up for school at 8:30 (too late), but it felt realistic, and then I talked to myself and said that I could turn back time, and so I closed my eyes, and woke up at 7:15 Cool

Ok I didn't really turn back time, but it felt as if I woke up too late (Even though I was still asleep then) and wheeeeeeee I has got skillz0rs.

Re: The Dream Topic

I only have two dreams that I can vividly remember. One of the times I took slightly too much Adderall and dreamt I was lying on my back and all of a sudden I start floating up to the ceiling and when I reach the ceiling I turn over and look down at my body sinking into the bed. It was crazy. I fell asleep sometime around 10pm and woke up at 10:30pm. And I couldn't fall back asleep.

The other time, I was 13 years old. I can't remember anything in the dream other than this women who looked like a cliche angel. Shining light and all that. I woke up crying and felt like I had lost everyone I loved. And I'm not religious in the slightest so I dunno what that was all about.

THE DREAM.

Last night I had a dream that my dad tried to kill me with a fork.
I took the fork from him, then he pulled out a knife, where he nearly stabbed me in the back. Then I took a butcher's knife and slit his right hand. He started bleeding, he dropped his knife, and then he ran into the garage. He came back with a load of airsoft ammunition from Wal-Mart. I immediately felt remorse and/or guilt, and started sobbing profusely. My brother came downstairs, and from nowhere, my dad pulled out a box of some sort of toy, gave it to my brother. Then I woke up.

It was very similar to a dream I had over 5 years ago (yes, I have a very good memory; I can remember insignificant events that happened to me as far back as when I was three years old).

Re: The Dream Topic

I've been having dreams about me struggling for my own survival.
My most recent one being all of my school's students disappearing mysteriously (but I knew for some reason the teachers killed them somehow), except for a few friends of mine. I ended up forming a plan with them, and we managed to escape. The four of us, my two best friends, and the girl I like (the people my age that mean the most to me) ended up escaping.

We survived by hiding out in the abandoned mansion, where we stayed for a few days until we went somewhere else.
