Since all of these school shooting my school has adopted new security measures. Maybe it's good for the welfare of the students and staff, but some of the new procedures are unnecessary and pointless.

Funny you should say that. At the penultimate school I went to, the library had a rather large server rack. And at the last school, some of my classmates told me that 'they could see what we do' on our state-issued Macs. I figured it was bull, but now I have a pretty good idea of what sort of monitoring software they might have used...

Those drills they make us do at my school just turn hilarious immediately. I remember one teacher had us all huddle in front of a window with a view into the classroom. Try to figure that out, because I've given up

Reasons for school violence are many but there is no medicine that can reduce violet behavior. It can only be done by providing proper love, support and affection to the child.

There was a bomb found in a locker in my school. A few bomb threats, a couple shooting threats, but besides the bomb locker incident, nothing really that major.

Only a bomb threat at the middle/high school a few years back (but there was nothing, and I wasn't in the middle/high school yet). I know the bomb threat was from a kid in a rival district (a town about 10 minutes southwest of my town, and I nearly moved to that district). But nothing was found, so that was good.

Once, in the lunchroom, a random kid got up and began punching everyone, that got everyone mad and everyone went punching after him, then they punched everyone else, and then the lunchroom became a fight club.

It took a entire 15 minutes to settle down the fight, and after that, the detention room had about 10-20 students in it.

Apparently there was an incident at our school; some kid's head got smashed in by 12-15 other kids (IDK for sure, I passed out ages ago) and now our school has bouncers.

Pretty much every school here has security/police. It's the lasting effect of the so-called "superpredator generation" that started in the 90s during the crack epidemic.

I think War On Kids has kind of a good documentary on current current modern school policies, It was supposed to be on situations when the kids rights or something that they said or did like getting into fights or making a gun shaped finger, and they would end up being criminalized or jailed. And he later realized that school is just absolutely detrimental, coercive, and authoritarian.

at my school there are weekly fights, sometimes with knives and there are those who call their college friends who come in cars to fight, i wish you could watch them, its epic, unless they come after you \gulp
