To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

He's a guy who's famous for writing his blatant, to the point, not to mention funny, opinions on just about everything he hates (a shit load)

Anyways, he wrote a little blurb about school a while ago, this is what it said.

"My old high school sucked. I hated everyone there (90%). I hated school dances more than anything. The biggest waste of time and money is a school dance. While I sat home and loathed everyone, they went to dances and parties. They had fun. Laughing, dancing, flirting. Everyone so concerned about their image; they all worried about impressing the opposite sex. Nobody gave a shit about anything else. They were all assholes. I hated my teachers (most of them were assholes), I hated my principal, I hated the administration. I hated the jocks. I hated the trendy people. I hated the stoners, skaters, hippies, cowboys, snobs, and nerds."

"Why do teachers and professors make you have a minimum limit of pages for reports? I had a history class last quarter, and the professor forced us to have at least 6 pages for every report we had to turn in. Well what if I don't have 6 pages worth to say? It forces people to write meaningless bullshit to fill in the spaces, which makes your argument much less effective. Politicians would make great teachers. They can go on and on about meaningless drivel and make their ass kissing sound like it's important."

Maddox is my hero. I don't always agree with him, but he is cool.

It's also my understanding not all of what he has to say is serious. He happens to like making fun of people who bull shit all the the time. Like the Regression Party, good times... Smile

i think you've got be able to laugh at what you find offensive, unless it's true. i don't believe that the person who writes the best page in the universe is really like that, and so i'm able to laugh at it. if you can take it, it's damn hilarious.
