To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Oh god, my school changes mine every.
The first one (they started this like 5 years ago)
"Respect Yourself Respect Others" so basically, they meen respect us. And by respect, they mean don't argue/talk back.

apparently ours is "Quanti est sapere" or some wierd latin thing that means "how great it is to learn" but i've never seen anyone ever use it or acknowledged it's existance other than our science teacher, so i dunno. our middle school motto was "there are no strangers here, only friends we have not met." the year-old scar on my left hand from getting ambushed begs to differ.

mine is every chief, every day, college bound.
and at my middle school we had the acronym GREAT which meant something. g was for something like guidance, r was for respect, e was for who knows.

It's good advice, but what they mean by that is 'never says anything bad or controversial' Then there was "Catch the attitude of Gratitude" Which means, even your life has problems, others peoples problems are worse, so stop whining. "But your best face forward" This one pisses me off like hell. 'No matter how bad you feel, cover it up and smile' and this years one, which is utter crap "The truth and nothing but the truth."

yeps, those be them, as you can see, most arent good ones, then again, maybe they just didnt think about it the way we did, maybe they really thought they were saying something good....  i just had to say it, sorry 
my personal favorites are put your best face forward, and the truth and nothing but the truth. my defanitions:
best face thing: yes, if your sad, if your depressed, hey! even if your a bit suicidal; dont ruin everyone elses day! cover up your true feelings with a great big fucking smile!!! 
other one: does anyone here know th eoath you take in court? doesnt this sound a tad bit like it? now, ignoring the fact that all origianality has been suked from not only the students, but also the administration, this "motto" is basically saying that school is like a court, and we're all little criminals who no one can trust. oh so THATS their excuse for treating us like this! i get it now!
