Music is bullshit now-a-days. People are so stupid and weak they most likely don't know the meaning to the song (usually their isn't anymore though, unless about sex), The lyrics or why it was written.

You are right it does change over time, but the stage we're at right now in Pop-Culture is the worst. It is espically pathetic when people forget that MTV does stand for Music Television

I just think music has become more about a crappy beat consistently playing with some guy talking, It even got worse actually, You got people with there Soulja boy "crank dat" which doesn't really have a vocabulary period. Just random lines of words.

I think that the music of today is SHIT! Fuck Soulja Boy! What were the lyrics, "Superman that ho?" WTF does that shit mean? Also, I just love when I get shit for liking actual music, like AC/DC. Just today I was wearing a "Back In Black" t-shirt and this bitch asked me, "Who likes AC/DC?" She asked me that like I'm wrong for something for liking them.

Another thing that pissed me off recently was that a radio I use to listen to changed formats. They use to be a kick-ass rock station. They played classic rock and some modern rock. If it hadn't been for that station, I probably wouldn't even know who AC/DC and Judas Priest were. In April, they changed from beng a kick-ass rock station to a talk station. It sucked, but just a couple of weeks ago, they got fucking even worse. They changed into a fucking Top 40/pop station. So instead of playing music like "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" by Judas Priest, they play "SexyBack" by Justin Fucking Timberlake.

I use to litsen to 101.1 Light FM they called it, It was all rock music and stuff, Than they changed it back to oldies. EWW, I mean I like oldies, but 80's Rock was the best. The last song was Journey- Midnight Train It was so sad, like someone died.

I used to listen to it a lot, but it got to the point where 90% of all the songs were just shit. Then there was only like one late night show that played actual music, and not much great stuff either. Now I don't even bother

There's loads of really great music out there though, it's just finding it that can be hard depending on how rare it is.

I recommend searching your parents music folder, You find all weird shit you become addicted to. or litsen to music in movies that you like and download it, than research the Era, Look up the music in that era, and be like omfg this shit is like sex music, Yeah.. There you go.

I don't think so. Yes, mainstream music pisses me off. But listen to some death metal bands. They kick ass. Even new ones. GOJIRA (not new but one of my favorites)

When I said modern music, I actually was referring to Mainstream as in the billboards charts and what every kid sings all day in sing and has pictures of on his shirt.

the only mainstream band I can listen to without sticking a screwdriver in my ear is AFI. I just love the lyrics to the songs. They sound great.

AFI are really good. Listen to some of their old stuff. Green Day are awesome, listen to Basket Case by them.
