the media image of the perfect body only has an impact on what those who are brainwashed in society view as beauty. a proper man naturally reacts better to a woman with hips wider than her waist, a moderate-large but not overly large set of breasts, baisically an hourglass shape. this is the female body that men instinctively look for because she is capable of bearing healthy children. women on the other hand look for wide shouders, a trim waist, muscles, a deep voice, and regardless of what they claim a full beard. the voice, waist and beard are natural indicators of high testosterone levels and therefore fertility,the wide shoulders are a sign that he will be able to protect the female and offspring and provide food for the family.

maxwell have you actually seen the average black woman? they tend to have 30-45%bodyfat and wide everything. the black women you are reffering to are the ones you see in commercials. all the average ones are barely seen.and lack that horglass shape instead possesing a column-like profile from the front and an s- shape from the side only usually their belly will make them look like that s has been squished.

Ok, I don't find myself attractive, but I'm confident and fine with myself, I wear things that 'average' 14- 16 y/os wouldn't, a top hat, a fifty year old fedora with a patch on it, I'm 190 pounds, not fat, but sure as hell not thin, I like shoes that are cheap, but comfortable, and patched clothes are always in. I'm making a pair of pants out of patches over the summer.

Its not just vogue that tells you its all of the media, your friends, your family, and your sexual partners. The way you develop that self hatred is by thinking that if you gain weight others will hate you and you have convinced yourself that if others hate you you will hate yourself.

i think healthy is basically the only thing anyone should want to be. if you're really healthy, then weight and other things wont be a worry, but instead of trying to be skinny, and then becoming unhealthy, people should focus on being healthy, which will probably in turn make them thin. ok, not thin, but like, whatever word you wanna use that means average.

i mean, in modeling, the regular chicks actually get more jobs than the anorexic ones. women's natural shapes for instance, are supposed to have a bit of fat on the tummy, its natural. any model you see that has a concave, literally flat stomach, without flexing at all, is probably unhealthy in whatever way. if the human body had no fat on it, then we'd all freeze, fats not bad, too much of it is, but too much of anything is bad.

I was using vogue as an example, who stupid do you think I am? And you are obviously one of "those people" who talks about stuff they don't understand and try and tell people how they feel and why they feel that way. So go bug off and become a therapist.

I love how this is relevant today. Everybody in media is beautiful, looking their best, using expensive, good looking objects. Why? This actually portrays less people than it portrays, wouldn't it be better to seem like, oh I could be in that picture, instead of, oh damn she's sexy, must buy.

Actually, we were raised to think that. Other than that, a part is played by the caveman times behavior, which made people choose a partner that could be fit enough(man) or productive at breeding(woman). Sexual preference is a major part, because the mating scheme does not match the usual animal behavior(one breeder per a herd, chosen as the fittest). We are meant to mate just a few times ever, making it mandatory to form a steady relationship to survive. That's why it is important to find someone fitting, as often we're looking in people for features we see in ourselves, which is to make sure the descendants will continue to be that way.

However, the modern culture is corrupting the image. We don't seek for a good partner, we seek for what are we told to. The major part in this is played by the TV, other media, children's toys, and the shitty immature relationship competition... guess where. Yeah, school.

It's a sad fact that this all is the biggest cause of the whore behavior, the retarded teen 'dating', irresponsible sexuality, and materialism. It all makes 99% of the kids stupid, and rams a spiked dick into the hearts of the rest who can think for themselves.

I seem to just hate the extreme contrast. Excessively large fake breasts + waist of a 12 year old is rather sick for me. I'd love a little figure if it was subtle in all of the aspects, as well as the opposite - lovely curves are welcome as long as the rest isn't made of sticks.
And men? Anyone having the whole bulk for show-off instead of for a purpose, deserve immediate castration and a ban on gyms.
