To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Art Fair bullshit
So my friend entered a picture for the art fair. They refused to put it up, threw it away, and my friend complained about 2-3 times, each on different days. So guess what the art fair lady does? She calls his mom, and complains about how he was "harassing her". Then she threatens to sue him. What's even more retarded is the fact that his parents refuse to beleive their son, and actually beleive the word of some crazy woman they don't know.
He's getting all of his stuff taken away, and how he has to write an apology letter to her.
Fucking bullshit.

BS. i hate parents who take a teachers word over their own children. It's like saying you don't have confidence in their own ability to raise an honest child, and the poor kid has to pay for their insecurities.

A stick figure.
But it wasn't like any other stick figure, it was the god of stick figures. It was in color. Everything was colored; hands, feet, face, everything. It was the best stick figure anyone's ever seen.
They also rejected my art fair project. It "wasn't serious enough". It was a picture that showed my love of beef. It was, on a blank piece of paper, the text "I [heart] BEEF". The little spaces in the "B" were colored blue, and the entire thing was highlighted.
They were some of the best works of art in that library at the time.

Isn't it great when government funded institutions can regulate creativity?

Damn. The more I've read about how the American school system works, the more I think that it's fucked up, big time. You should seriously come over here (Europe).
Or watch the movie 'Sicko' by Michael Moore. I didn't like him before I saw it either, but it shows how much your government takes from you.
And Europe isn't that bad, really.

School art fairs are just dumb crapfests of crap we've already seen. "OMG I IS SELFPORTAT" "I LUV SKOL + LIONZ" etc.
When will most art teachers know at least something about art?

My art teacher sprayed my pastel works with the stuff that prevents it from smudging off... but it was a new brand she hadn't used before, and she didn't put enough on. I had this shadow for a tree in the one pic, that I went over again because it was in the wrong place, and I wanted to put the shadow elsewhere. That all rubbed off, and there was this big, dark shadow on my pic in the most horrifically wrong place you can imagine. And the stupid person doing the judging in the art exam place lost me a lot of marks for that. Oh, and she randomly decided to ignore all the pics I did in colour because it supposedly wasn't "my style" (most of my pics were black and white). Who cares? So I do colour occasionally too, so what? Oh, and they mark down people who draw things in pencil that look like photograph quality. Why? Because it doesn't look "like pencil". 
It's shit like that that made me not even want to draw anything for almost a year after I finished school.
