^Those are the majority of prophecies of the apocalypse, and if you look closely you'll notice that there's been a dramatic increase in the last 30 years.
(We're becoming more paranoid of our own extinction)

The Mayan didn't really predict an apocalypse on Dec. 21st, 2012. It's the winter solstice, and it's the beginning of a new age, the age of Ether, I think. We're in the age of fire I think, and we've been in it for like... 3 thousand years. But it's supposed to be a transition from the age of egotism and corruption (the one we're in now) into an age of peace.

The only areas that need to be concerned, if there is a pole shift that fucks technology in the ass, are really big cities. It'll probably be much more stable in 95% of all other areas. But it is in December... and some places are very cold in December, but we'll see.

When you think of apocalypse do you think extinction of our race or the annihilation of the planet/outer space?

Even if everything dies, it doesn't really matter. We're only important to ourselves, and we're irrelevant when you think of the larger scheme of things.

But maybe some good will come out of a huge scare like this, maybe people will become more civil to others, thinking that their going to end, some judgment day is going to come. Maybe that's the revelation that will happen? People will walk around in the few months or days before the predicted date and we'll find peace, and after the 21st passes, we'll realize what we're capable of, in terms of humanity and tolerance, etc?
