RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.
-SoulRiser

Re: Why was your day great?
I met my mum and her husband up at Cost Plus for a beer and wine tasting gig that apparently was taking place. Got some Pocky while I was there, and it was awesome. Then we got a slightly early dinner at Logan's Roadhouse, a righteous dining locale down here, where I had an excellent dinner.
But the best part is as we were leaving, the server gals bid us farewell as they would any customer, but when we got outside, Rod pointed out something surprising to me: The cutest gal had been focusing on me in particular.
...I'll be going back to Logan's next time I get money, I'll tell you that much.
Also, it's interesting to see that when I realize someone could potenially be interested in me, my priorities properly focus.

I just found out that video production is a junior class. I feel pretty damn special
Someone dear to me once said "We are the light." But, if that's true, then why am I still searching?

Today I won Grand Basketball Championship of North Korea! Some say that I only won because I only one with access to Basketball court (and also only competitor) but they just mad because I am styling on them. Then I had them killed.

A student union has been started at school.
Fuck yeah, if it consists of people who are willing to fight for change.

Re: Why was your day great?
Met two cute girls at an anime club meeting with a good friend of mine. Quickly abandoned meeting and a bunch of us started swapping stories for like an hour. I wish I could've stayed longer. I want to play strip Mario Kart now. That sounds like so much awesome and fun. Hoping to see them both at Anime Central.

Re: Why was your day great?
I had a lengthy anti-school argument with my dad, and near the end I could tell he was struggling to find words. Not to brag, but I think I did a pretty damn good job. I could tell he was slipping when he insulted SS's intelligence.

I don't see any "nailed some drunk kinky chicks" above, therefore you are not the real Zherneboh.

In Englandland, this is quite good. Grading goes like this
(Foundation Grades)
U - Lowest
G
F
E
D
-----------------------------
C
B
A
A* - Highest
(Higher Grades)
If you get 5 C's to A*'s at GCSE level, you can do anything you want when you leave school. But the major reason I am happy with this is that I did no revision whatsoever and I still got C whereas some people with lower grades did fucktons of revision and got lower grades so

Pirated version? If not, and on the PC, add me on Steam so I can add you to the SS group and we can kill all sons'a bitches together.
