To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I'm personally not a big fan of Obama, but he is definitely the lesser of the three evils, two now I guess since the bitch is FINALLY going to drop out. Fucking stupid ass bitch, dragging on the Democratic nomination campaign just because of her damn pride. Here's a new question, who here thinks that Obama's going to make the bitch his running mate?

That's a tough one. On one hand, Obama's for "change" & the Clintons are old-school, in terms of politics, Obama may not be able to contain their egos, & evidently they don't particularly care for one another (who knew?). However, if Obama takes HRC as his running mate, the angry Clinton diehards who were going to McCain would likely return to the Dems side. I'm not sure. I think it's 50-50.

Universal Health care.
Higher taxes.

Lesser? I don't think so. Universal Healthcare would ruin medical innovation(we are the main country it comes from, and one of the few that doesn't have Universal Healthcare).
I don't have to say anything about higher taxes, taxes are stealing.

Seriously: I'm happy Hilary is done, I would hate her to be president(except for the fact she was the only front runner who supported Net Neutrality, as far as I know).

I'm going to politely disagree. McCain may have his faults, & there's quite a bit that conservatives like myself don't like about him, but he's a better candidate than "57 states" Obama.

i'd take obama over bush any day, and im glad hilary is out. i think obama has the most promise we've seen for a president that would hopefully bring a positive change, he seems much better than any of the ones we've had recently. McKain, forgive me, i dont know much about, but from what i can gather (i dont really get into politics, too busy) obama is better. an election is always picking the lesser of evils, maybe thats just 'cause humans always run for positions of power...
