The story circulating around the Fox network this morning was that the Dems threw away all these American flags, but it turns out that was a straight up lie...not a half lie...or a subtle smear...just a downright lie.

This is getting ridiculous. They smear Obama for not wearing the flag. They take his quote about the tire gauges and blow it way fucking out of proportion. They spend days on end talking about how Obama is friends with rapper Ludicrous. Now this bullshit.

Hey guess what conservatives retards, did you ever bother to read the flag code? Apparently not:

somone i knew who had a 5 year old son was throwing a pirate themed b-day party for him, and they hung the skull and crossbones up from the house's drainpipe. the neighbour reported them to the police, who confiscated the flag because apparently you need permission to fly any flag but your own countries while in that country. this made me sad. how many different countries flags fly during the world cup? honestly.

I don't even really want to argue about proper flag etiquette. Because it makes absolutely no sense to me. Then again, patriotism doesn't make sense to me. In the same way religion doesn't.

Like say I love freedom and I devote myself to freedom. If I devote myself to America, that's a misplaced value. If I pledge my allegiance to the flag of America which supposedly supports freedom, that's a twice removed value.

Similar to how some people worship the church rather than God.

I think that code is referencing to an actual flag, like cloth, rather than something like a pin.

And I am rather sick of Fox news. I never watch it myself, and apparently with good reason, seeing as they are lying about something every freaking day, or taking something grossly out of proportion and making absurd accusations.
