To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

power outage

lol today at school the power went out. Laugh

we have backup generator. but that can only one run light per class. so for the first three classes we played games.

Any stories about something like that?
Had to move on. Account is dead.

I while back in elementary school a rat got into something or something and caused the power to got out at the school. It was pretty fun. We did absolutely nothing. Biggrin

the power went out for a few secconds, and i slept for the rest of the class, but we got snow during our seccond to last class, and had to leave. fun shit.

well, how is it possable to do nothing, as the act of doing is something in itself. also, you are breathing, slowly decaying, ect...

power went out for a couple periods in middle school once and we all ended up singing kum ba ya.
I think Buenaventura Durruti is a pretty cool guy. eh kills fascists and doesnt afraid of ruins.

happened at our primary school, we were meant to be doing sex ed and our teacher was in the middle of describing all the genitals to us. the power went out for around 10 seconds and in that timme he managed to walk around the classroom, and fall over onto the lap of our teacher. the rest of the day was spent gossiping, in true school style.

my old school last year, we had a water leak that messed up the power.. everything was down, was awesome, we left at like 12:30 Smile

A snowstorm got so bad one time last year that the superintendent of the school district said "the safety of all students cannot be guarenteed".
By the end of the day, only 8 students remained in school.

Way back several years ago in middle school, we lost power. Kids were going from door to door singing. Naturally, the lights came back on a few minutes before we would have to go home.

Nothing like that ever happened to any school I went to. But the power went out recently in school before the school day actually started and it came back in like 5 minutes. There were a few people who were early and they told me.
