To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Fuck yeah
The newly-built student commons just opened today, so my friends and I decided to check it out. There's a newly built café/coffee shop, a candy store with more awesome shit than you can imagine, a two-story lounge area, and a continuation of the newly-built two-story library.
The entire commons area is enclosed in what is basically a giant glass cube.

I was only able to get pictures of the candy store and the second floor of the commons. As soon as I find myself in a situation where teachers won't see my cell phone when I use it to take pictures, I'll get pictures of the new cafeteria, library, and the first floor of the commons.
Also, taking pictures of the cafe would be worthless. It's just a carpeted room with tables and chairs; the actual stand where coffee is sold hasn't been installed yet.
Candy store. I only got pictures of the candy they sell, though. On the second picture, you can see the exit door and part of the cash register stand.

There's also a third side of the candy store I didn't take a picture of. It's basically a row of refridgerators with various drinks inside, including sodas (like Dr. Pepper, Sprite, etc.).

no, the amount of funding that a public school receives is based on the amount of property taxes collected in its area. If its a poor area where the majority of people rent their homes the schools are going to get next to nothing in funding

I go to a public school.
How did my school get the funding to renovate our school for the 3rd time in the past decade? Let's take a look at the demographics.

Oh... so it's a location thing. I guess this could explain why my school is so crappy. It's in one of the worse parts of the city. The area seemed fine at first, at least the part I take to walk there from the subway station, but passing under the expressway that's right next to the school, the place on the other side looked like one of those places you'd definately want to avoid, especially at night. I already though the school was crappy from the beginning, but now I know everything. Going there can't be good for my health.

I didn't pick the school. I have no idea why I'm there but I blame my fucking retarded parents.
Although after a bit of research, it seems all the schools are on the other side of the city, and here is a black hole... there are only private schools, which we don't have money for, and I would most likely fail the entrance exam. It's so fucking retarded, I need to drop out.
