My rant on construction companies

Construction people have to be the most useless segment of mankind I've ever seen, and that's a pretty big statement considering some of the idiots that exist in the world.

There are some really beautiful areas in the world, built specifically to show off how beautiful they are, and then some mayor of some town makes some deal with these idiots and boom, before you know it, they knock it down, and build something new in its place.

My complaints are that

a) You've just ruined a perfectly good thing and
b) I don't want you to come and fucking change something I've gotten used to.

Do these people not realize that many of us have gotten accustomed to how things used to look? Do these people not realize that what they're changing is something that looks good, and the only reason they feel the need to interfere is because they're performing change for change' sake? No, never mind the fact that this was great before, let's build something completely useless for the sake of profit, or just because we can. They have the gall to think that barging in and doing that is actually a good thing. It's ridiculous. Fuck construction companies, and fuck their ideas. They're almost always stupid and never work. Meanwhile, we have to put up with, you know, a new mini-mall. Derived from profit. And they don't even look good. No aesthetic consideration goes into these things at all, seemingly all they do is look at the plans, and, dullened by 400 years of MTV and the wonderful education system, say "yeah, that's good" while they go off and scratch their asses some more. YOU ARE CHANGING A FUCKING LANDSCAPE, and these people think nothing of it.

This is why the world sucks. It's being run by assholes who aren't smarter than any of us, but who have the power and the money to make their brilliant dreams come to life. You may be right and they may be absolutely wrong, but that doesn't matter, your lifestyle will still be degraded and attacked just because they can.

Oh god do I wish these people would die.

There's nothign wrong with construction, people have to have homes and buildings to do their daily routine in. I'm not against saving historical buildings or keeping people from bulldozing over the rainforest, but mankind's level of progress would not be at the level it is today without the builders.

It depends on the job, but in general it's absolutely ridiculous what they do. Yeah, the homes we live in today were built, they weren't always there, but still, if you have to knock down forest just for some deluxe retirement villiage or something, fuck off. And yes, about 99% of all construction jobs are a pile of shit.

Hey, don't get mad at the actual builders, they're just doing their job to make some money for their familes. If you want to blame someone for bulldozing forests, blame the owners of the companies who ordered the buildings in those locations.

They're choosing to destroy buildings. If anything, the builders are the ones to blame, not the people telling them to do it. :/

This kind of thing has been happening a lot where I live.

Lots of the wooded areas are being destroyed to make space for banks.
