To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

High school
My parents are giving me no choice at all in what my high school will be. I'm being sent to notre dame, a catholic school. I was kicked out of a Christian school for speaking about evolution in Bible class. Where the hell is the logic in that? If it were up to me, I would be homeschooling myself, learning about things I actually want to know. My mother's reasoning? Public school sucks.  (And I agree...but I would remove the word public).

I guess you could get kicked out again?  If they are forcing you to go to that school, I really doubt their open-mindedness, no offense. Well.
What is your religion? Maybe you could tell them you disagree with what the catholics teach or something, if they wouldn't murder you with sticks.

Since you're young, telling your parents you disagree with Catholicism will usually make them say something along the lines of "You don't know what you're talking about!" or "It's just a phase/act of pointless rebellion/etc."
If they don't know, you should make a list of well-reasoned arguments you feel against Catholicism, like how it seems to reject a lot of science and progress, its treatment of women (trying to guilt them out of abortions, not letting them be priests or run for pope, which is elected by a small group of old, straight males who know nothing about the outside world), its homophobia, its desire to force itself on everyone (lack of separation of Church and State, trying to get prayer into schools), and its exclusion and how people who aren't "saved" are going to hell. I feel your pain; I've been in Catholic school for 6 years, and sadly, you can't tell them to fuck off, and you have to go to Mass since it's a private school and they can force certain things on you.
Good luck, and try to remain calm and reasonable with your parents so they can't accuse you of being immature or unreasonable.
