RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Ace Combat 2 was my favorite PSone game for some reason. I beat it before I ever entered kindergarten, and have never been able to beat it since.

Good PS1 games I should try
Darkstalkers 3
Mega Man 8/X4/X5 (X3 if you live in Europe, and don't buy X6)
The Raiden Project
The King of Fighters '95/'96/'97
Tekken Series
Brave Fencer Musashi
Parasite EVE
I also suggest Gran Turismo 1, the Crash Bandicoot series, and the Spyro series, but I'm gonna assume you have those due to how common they are.

I just tried Descent and wow...It was interesting. It's a unique game, and fun too. The only bad thing about it is the fact that you can get disoriented and flipped upside down, that and I got a headache near the end of the first level. Even though the graphics are dated(It's a Playstation game so I wasn't expecting much) it has aged rather well, if I do say so myself.

I'd prefer not to derail this thread any further, but I do have a proposition.
Would you like me to edit each of your posts in order to fix spelling and grammar? I'm good at that sort of thing, and it wouldn't take me very long. (As soon as I get started, that is.)

Good PS1 games I should try
Metal Gear Solid
Mega Man Legends 2
Twisted Metal 3
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero
WWF Smackdown 1 and 2
WWF Warzone and WWF Attitude
The Syphon Filter series? I think I only recalled playing the second one, although I haven't played the others, but it was really an awesome shooter from what I remembered.
007: The World Is Not Enough(Much better than the N64 version imo)
That's about as much of good games I can think of. Of course, you probably know some of those list games are for N64 as well, but I'm not sure if you already own them for that system. I was never really much of a PS1 lover lol. During that era, I always preferred my N64 or Dreamcast more if anything.
