To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

That the external constraint is a bullshit excuse. How much time do you think it took to make the SS forums? Not a ton, in the scheme of things, and look how much good it has done.
And I would strongly recommend trying ADHD meds, ny friend is on them and he is 100% fine, no issues.

If this was a topic on ADHD there would be one on best of school survival as far as I know. Anyway I have the opposite of ADHD, everything from the roots of a plant the pixels on my computer I can even ignore everything that is surrounding me when I read I'm so focused but I doubt I'm the only one that can do that though.

It is a legitimate reason. I haven't the knowledge of how to start a forum. If you're so keen on this, haven't you started a forum? And not to burst your bubble, but aside from just talking and sharing ideas, this forum hasn't done much. But like Soul says, this was never meant to be a "tear down the walls of public schooling" site, it was made as a site only for supporting those who go to public school

We have educated people, haven't we? I'm sure this place has saved a couple of lives, and made a ton more a bit more livable know they are not alone in their struggle, no? And this forum was just the easiest example. I haven't created a forum because this one already exists. I personally haven't done much solid work, mostly just talking, just trying to sneak in education and learning the truth where ever I can without people thinking I'm a conspiracy nut or pushing an agenda. I've mostly been hunting around, I need something outrageous enough to get people to give a shit, and the fed reserve might just be it, but I need more research first.

Unless you're talking of saving people from suicide. It's common knowledge that nobody actually kills themselves by making a threat on the internet. If they actually hated the world that much they wanted to die, they'd skip the formal crap and go do it already. Most suicides don't even leave a note behind.

Social responsibility is massively overrated. Same goes with ADHD medication. Is it really a good long-term solution to feed someone fucking amphetamines for the problem of being additionally distracted in a world designed to keep you constantly distracted? If sociopath really suffers from a 'deficiency' in making something 'meaningful' with his/her knowledge as proposed, then the more ideal thing for someone with ADHD would be to take on less social responsibility and live a more hunter-gatherer oriented lifestyle.

That is close, but a wee bit off. What you said is mostly true, but people who threaten generally go on to make a failed attempt, only failed because they don't want to do it. And I can guarantee a few of those attempts work.
