RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Bump.
Just wanted to ask, who hasn't day dreamed about shooting up your school at least once?

I'm sure people have it at least have those thoughts at least once.

Locking up a bunch of people in a small space that oppresses basic human behaviour will result in at least one person lashing out.
It's sad to think some of the victims were bright and had a future, but I don't feel sympathy for bullies and teachers (oh wait they're the same thing lol) getting killed.
I agree and I was about to write this. So far i know of two school shootings in the U.S: Colombine and V-Tech.

RE: School Shootings
I admire the shit out of the people that have the balls to do that. Sometimes I think about doing it myself. I would only shoot the people that deserved it, though. I have a list of people that deserve it in case I ever snap and do it.

The balls to walk into a building of unarmed people and shoot them? Most school shooters shoot innocents. Columbine, V-Tech, the one in Brazil. Though I never did research on school shooters who only shot specific people.

Quote:When asked why she committed the gun attack Spencer replied, "I just did it for the fun of it. I don't like Mondays. This livens up the day. I have to go now. I shot a pig [policeman]. I think and I want to shoot more. I'm having too much fun [to surrender]." She also said, "I had no reason for it, and it was just a lot of fun," "It was just like shooting ducks in a pond," and, "[The children] looked like a herd of cows standing around; it was really easy pickings." At the time of the shootings, Spencer was 16 years old.

Nope and she sounds like she would have been a real lively screw in the sack too.
I have to respect her attitude on law enforcement and fun as well.

No no no
We can't have teachers or nosy parents or whoever browsing this forum and coming across people posting that they might shoot up their school.
Go to work. Send your kids to school. Follow fashion. Act normal. Walk on the pavement. Watch TV. Save for your old age. Obey the law. Repeat after me: "I am free."

True. She should have just had wild sex as much as possible.

No the balls to know that after you do it, you're either going to die or go to jail for the rest of your life. I respect anyone that can look in the face of death and just laugh and pull the trigger.

I don't know, it just isn't a ballsy move to me. Not to mention many school shooters have, issues. So it isn't like they are completely normal and sit there weighing the pros and cons. Either way, any school shooters attack a school I am at and there is gonna be a shoot out.

RE: School Shootings
I wonder if you shoot a school shooter with an illegal weapon, would they overlook it?
No, this is Patrick.

They'd arrest me. The safety of myself and my family and those close to me and innocents is worth the risk. I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6... to borrow a quote.
