I can't take it anymore. I am thinking of staying at my dads during the day. I can't take this. The more I stay the more lies I get. First, let me say this, I pull my damn weight around here, I do chores, I help wherever I can, but it comes back to nothing for me.

Basically, they've been pushing me as far as possible. They have been promising different things.
An upgrade in my computer, new game, allowance, whatever. I don't get it. I don't give 2 shits about anything but the allowance.

If i got half of what they told me, they wouldn't need to promise me anything else. Money is the main issue here. I get so pissed when they promise me things and they don't care what they said earlier.

See, I don't need much, maybe a game or two every year, an allowance for the shit i do, but no. The only thing i can rely on is my dad paying me. I recently looked into getting an alienware m17x ,found one on EBAY from some dude who needed quick cash for $900. Yeah, i know alienwares are overhyped over priced machines, but i didn't care. $900.

So, i tell my mom. "Where you gonna get $900?" Gee, I don't know, from lying assholes who lie about anything?

Anyway, I'm just pissed cause i found a perfect condition Alienware, new model, for under a $1000. This should be money i have, but no. I'm gonna see if i can get a job in town or something.

EDIT: I forgot to mention my stepdad has sunk thousands and thousands of dollars into electronics. He bought an ePad (Chinese ripoff). Didn't like it because it had one or two missing features, gave it away, and bought an iPad. I don't know how many phones he has had. We have a whole drawer full of old phones. His daughters get everything. One has a nook and iPad, one has my old laptop my mom broke (pissed about this.)

My mom has an iPad, and a laptop, we have a big ass tv in the living room and their room (none in mine, shocker.), and downstairs. They have a high end dvd player which they never use, a good speaker system, TiVo, and a high end pc in my sisters room. I have maybe 1 or 2 thousand in my room.

I honestly don't think they care about what I do.

Well I guess you solved your problem, get a job, i mean damn that's alot of money and if all you see your parents as is an atm then you're out of luck. I don't even get or ask anything from my parents and I can't even live with them.

A hint: if you do get a job, put all your money on a debit card, and hide the card, and don't lose your PIN number. It's best to be safe.

Well you can't expect equal property ownership when they basically pay for your existence. I don't really see why you'd want a bunch of fancy shit, I consider a roof over my head t be a fucking luxury, but if you want it your obviouslby going to have to work for it.

I think it's shit that they give and take away stuff from you, but they paid for it anyway. So I guess it's better to make your own money and not to beg them.

But it is seriously fucked up if they are like first class everything and you're like getting used computer monitors. Just saying.

I'm not going to say something cliche or retarded like "Kids in Africa have nothing" because you're having your own problems, and they're just as important as any other - a reason I hate 'Kids in Africa' being a parent or teacher retaliation to most things that you want. But I will say that if you want something this bad, then you could start becoming more independent i.e. by getting a job. I don't mean that you shouldn't stop asking your parents, there's no harm in trying, maybe sit down with your mom and have a long, reasonable discussion as to how you can see it's unfair. Make sure you have her full attention and that she understands that if they're getting these things, they shouldn't leave you out of it and tell her how that makes her feel.

Also, maybe your dad could have a word to her about it also? Just so she knows how serious you are and that it's not just some sort of attention ploy or whatever crazy thing she thinks you might be going for.

I know, but thats all they do. Pay for stuff and go to work. I do dishes, clean the house, make me and my brother lunch from table scraps, take care of the dogs, take care of my brother, take in groceries, do chores and odd jobs when I am getting something (same thing for Xmas and my damn bday)
All while they lie through their teeth and he buys every single god damned new gadget there is. He has nothing to do half the time at his job, he sits around screwing around, when he actually has to do something, he's usually prepping something for the real doctors.

Then, I could actually take this a little better if he didn't coddle his daughters. My step sister has had a high end desktop for 2 or 3 years. A couple months after he bought it and got bored with it. So word comes i'm getting a desktop (which they completely screw up) And a few weeks later my mom trips over my laptops cable and breaks it.
They get it a new one and give it to my sister. They now hardly use the $1000 desktop they bought and used for a couple of months. While i'm stuck with some $600 P.O.S. See why I get pissed?

And they still act like I sit around the house doing nothing all day. Before the family BBQ, he yelled at me, calling me retarted and an idiot because i didn't make my bed right. (My mom and the dogs messed it up.)
When my mom tried to protect me, he still blamed me. He yells at my 8 year old brother, who I can't defend because he yells at my brother more, and me more.

I'm going to say that violence isn't the best method in this situation. Or any situation like this.

Have you had a heart to heart talk with your parents, tell them how you feel? By this, I don't mean yelling at them when you are angry, but actually talking to them at a time when tensions aren't high, in such a way as to diffuse the situation and not make it worse. Also, don't shift everything on them, make the phrases and words you use non-confrontational. In stead of saying "You always over work me and put too much load on me with no pay." make it less confrontational and put it like "I feel like with all the work I do that I should be paid for some of it."

I'm just telling you what I've read in magazines though.
