To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Hi!
Hi there! I'm Lilly (School-Free Learner)
I'm new here. I'm sure that's obvious. I'm not much of a forum person so I'm new at that too.
A little about me: I'm fluent in English, absolutely love the language, and reading and writing. My hobbies are photography and writing. I'm also a (very) amateur video-making. I love art but I can't draw well so I usually admire the artwork of others.
I'm not a big fan of school. I liked my teachers, they were really nice and my classes were easy, a little too easy. I felt like a 12th grader in junior high for most of my classes. If I could have a do-over, I would want to be homeschooled all my life. The things I learned at home with no effort is great. I'm a supporter of Un-Schooling.
I've never really liked school but for years I pushed myself to go because I thought there was no other option. I've known about home-schooling for a little less than a year now. Had I known about homeschooling, I would've never gone to high school. A few days ago, I was feeling kind of lonely, in terms of my views on public education, so I googled "Anti-school". I wanted to see videos, pictures, articles, anything that would remind me that I'm not the only one that feels this way and/or I'm not just being a "lazy teenager". I found an article entitled "You have every right to hate school". This website and its articles have helped me to make a decision about my education, something I've been procrastinating for a while. And now, here I am. Not worrying about my education. I have a plan and I'm fine with it.
Well, enough about me. If you reply, share something about you. I'd like to get to know others. Thanks for reading

I like a lot of different things. I don't really even know what genres they supposedly are though, but basically I like almost anything with interesting lyrics. I don't really pay attention to the popular stuff, I don't listen to the radio or watch TV so I don't really even know what's going on.
