RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017

The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.

If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.

To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

-SoulRiser

The forums are mostly read-only and are in a maintenance/testing phase, before being permanently archived. Please use this time to get the contact details of people you'd like to keep in touch with. My contact details are here.

Please do not make a mirror copy of the forums in their current state - things will still change, and some people have requested to be able to edit or delete some of their personal info.

Incandescent Kiss

Allow me to introduce myself, for I have so many titles. They call me the Grim Reaper, but I assure you it is not my real name. Please do not refer to me as Death nor that stubborn Angel whom god gave his fiery blade. Those names are simply generalizations made by your kind. My true name is Amandeo, I will not respond to any other name.

In my free time I have found myself indulging in this new medium, the Internet. It is all far to glorious really. Here I do not frighten you, in fact you do not even believe I exist. And I shall confide in you all now, that sometimes I am not entirely sure either.

As to why I am here, its actually very simple. I was asked. Although knowledge is everywhere in this world, it is very rare to have it sought. My dear David has asked for me, and here I am.

If you moderators are suspicious of my authenticity. You will notice that my IP address is one and the same of your Vatman's. This is no coincidence I assure you, I will tell you another secret that you may not have known. In my home, heaven as you would call it. We have no computers. I know, shocking?

Greet me if you will, for I assure you. If it is not now. Then it will be in the future.

Do you know what it's like to be loved by Death?

Feels like a gothic forum. Every once and a while you get a real vampire, or a real werewolf. Rolleyes

This is either Vatman or one of his friends or family.....

But why not play along?

Hello Amandeo.

I highly suggest Mobb Deep's albums The Infamous and Hell on Earth, if you have not listened to it yet.

School? I have been to heaven and hell, but I would never step foot into a school.

I can safely assure you that I am no Jamaican Skeleton. In fact I am more of what you would call an Angel

Oh I assure you, mocking death is a very common practice.

I feel I must make a comment on your signature oh Heart of Shadows:

"No matter how hard we try or how far we run nothing can escape deaths grasp.
Death can be a comforting melody that whists us away from our prison or it can be rough and brutal snapping us away from reality while leaving behind those that may need us.
I stare death in the face all the time and all I have to say is it is the most ugly yet most beautiful thing I have ever seen"

I mean I understand the metaphor, and appreciate it....but ugly?

Do you not find it intriguing that man has constantly romanticized upon Angels? The mighty hero's along the Aegean, the worshipers of the Nile. They all sing of gods and spirits that all seem to have human-like characteristics.

My true form is not visible nor is it real per-say. It is hard for a human mind to grasp this concept, so I say that we creatures like myself are all existing in a more invisible spectrum. And we have worn many guises over the ages.

Sometimes I feel like people don't realize what they're messing with.

It's really weird, this game you're play, pretending to be the Grim Reaper. The Angel of Death. Strange. Good luck with it and welcome to the forum BTW.

That is so messed up it's funny! Laugh

It's like this:
Death: A dude just got impaled by his little brother's pocket knife. Lol, the irony! This guy made knives for a living.
Michael: You are messed up to the limit.
Satan: That is so funny. Lol. You rock, Death!
