Actually I believe it is the people who believe it that make it a scam.
Because there are people who use the Bible, twist it's words to be exact, and trick people. It's actually quite common. In all reality the Christian religion is so very anti-establishment and revolutionary people who think of themselves as Christians can't even follow it. IT says turn the other cheek and people will give an eye for an eye, it says to love your neighbor and nations conquer the weak guy next to them.

Really I don't see the Bible as a scam at all. I see the real scam as people who try to shroud the real meaning and gain power from people's ignorance.

have you ever noticed that really old people and people who spend a lot of time alone or in solitude tend to be kinda crazy, "God's" all 3 now, multiply that by the age of the universe, god is insane.

Let me explain to you my view.
The whole of this can be explained by the first parts of the Book of Genesis. You see mankind ate of the forbidden fruit, and brought this upon themselves. All of this happened because Adam ate a darned apple he wasn't supposed to. There was only one rule in Eden, not to eat it, he broke it and damned us all.

He didn't kill his son, he sent him to Earth. He let him be born, Roman soldiers and disgruntled Jews killed him.
