School rules should also apply to teachers - KFC Nyan Cat - 12-02-2014 11:02 AM

It's annoying when you aren't even allowed to have water bottles in class and the teacher pulls out A FUCKING SODA. The teachers always say that we can't have water bottles because we can go to the water fountain, which would be true if they actually allowed us to use the water fountain during class. Same is true if you aren't allowed to play games or read the internet during free time, and on the teacher's computer, there's a game of Minesweeper or an article on the screen. The worst is probably cursing rules. The teacher goes on a rant with dozens of swear words, but I get internal if the they hear me say "damn?" Really? I just feel it's ridiculous that teachers can do things the students can't. But society views us kids as second-class citizens, so that won't change....

Tape a mirror to your teachers' faces. They sound stupid enough to fall for it.

Only the first one is from my current teachers. The second is from last year (and said teacher retired) and the third is an example from elsewhere on the internet.

What's going to happen if you drink a soda in class?

People like to make rules. They like it more when they don't have to follow it.

They assume that you will spill the soda and get it all over the desks.

And the teachers won't? Please...

I mean what's the punishment if you just openly defy that rule?

Is that such a bad thing? I'd rather the classroom smell like soda than bullshit. Nutter

They're afraid of stuff getting "sticky"

As if the rooms are ever that clean...

This used to really get on my nerves, the drink thing especially. There was another thing as well... I'll post it when I can recall it.

This is far fetched, but maybe it's the idea that teachers can handle the "responsibility" of handling a drink more than a student? That's terrible...

Or maybe because while the students are actively supervised, as the teacher is almost always in the room for the entire time, the supervisors for teachers don't stay in the room, and probably rarely make their rounds to check in on classes.

Is that in school suspension?

Yes. They rarely hand out detention, and instead go to that extreme instead.
