"Report piracy with confidence"

I don't think people give a shit if they know someone who pirates. I doubt they'd want them to go to prison for 10 years.

And the virus bit... not convincing.

Viruses are real. Antivirus programs are more real Wink

Yeah, pirates have nothing to worry about...except, of course, condescending "law-abiding citizens."

Virus situation. If person says they are anti-pirate cause of virus:
a)They're pathetic little goody-two shoes citizens who wouldn't J-walk
b)Imbeciles who failed hard at doing something as easy as pirating(by pressing the porn ads, or the obviously incorrect download button).

It's more often "b" that occurs.

The only law-abiding since I respect was:

My antivirus scares me more than a regular virus. My antivirus crashes my browser frequently. I've gotten viruses, but they failed. Like this one example; this virus told me to download something or have my operating system deleted. I bypassed it easily and I didn't download what they wanted me to download. Laugh

Easiest way to not get a virus? If it looks shift, don't fucking click on it. Don't give information to shit you didn't intentionally open and NEVER TURN OFF YOUR FIREWALL(unless you're testing to see if the firewall is creating a problem for software).

You use the web with your firewall off and it's like walking into the ghetto in the middle of night with jewels and money gushing from your pockets.

Good point, all.

Norton used to give me a lot of scares, but I switched to avast!. It's a much better - and less intrusive - antivirus program, and it gets the job done right.

Pretty much fucking this. xD

No anti-virus master race.

Yeah, I use Norton. I forgot to mention that. Norton is constantly crashing my Google Chrome. Also, I've gotten viruses with Norton working. I was able to bypass the virus and delete it, but it would have been better if Norton would have protected me.

STAY LEGAL - Ky - 06-10-2014 01:48 PM

Yeah, drop Norton like a bad habit and get avast! or a similar antivirus program. Note that avast!'s basic features are free.

STAY LEGAL - James Comey - 06-10-2014 03:48 PM

I just use Malwarebytes TBH.

RE: STAY LEGAL - Absnt - 06-12-2014 05:32 AM

Malwarebytes is good for malware and spyware. You still need some virus protection, however. Assuming you're using a non-pirated version of windows, microsoft has some good anti-virus software I'd recommend. A lot of the big name antivirus companies run software that is so big and resource intensive that it's just not worth having in the first place. Sometimes the anti-virus causes the user as many or more problems than a damn virus. But yeah MS Security Essentials is good as fuck. Use that with malwarebytes and you should be pretty solid. Don't use more than one antivirus software or they will probably interfere with eachother. (Malwarebytes is not a real time system (at least the free version) and it's not really for viruses).

You could also occasionally just scan your shit. Like you don't even really need a real time protection system if you don't do sketchy shit on the internet. You could just scan occasionally to make sure you're still ok. Like windows defender is good for that. Otherwise, microsoft security essentials is free and is a solid way to go.

Avast isn't bad either. Meh. Fuk wind0

I have malware one and then something called tdss(pesky google redirect virus a while back) killer. I just use default ms security mainly. It seems to work fine.
