Did you just substitute latin letters with something else?

In a way I did. Every character you see is not just based on a separate letter itself, but actual sounds the letters in English words make. Its complicated to explain it.

I had made my own language once. Complete with phonetics, grammar and vocabulary. Took me a while...

I even gave it a base-6 numbering system. Or was it base-5. Nope...definitely base-6

You know that guy with the signature that says "ku klatu du" or something. Is that his own language?

Pla...er, the one who goes by "no", is an enigma. Nothing about him appears to be certain.

Note that the english language lacks something other non-latin languages possess. The "name" of a letter also generally can serve as a vocabulary word itself.

But in English(and latin/german dervied languages don't seem to possess such a trait)

Then you've got East asian that doesn't necessarily have an alphabet but rather "syllables" that mean something.

I can confirm it seems there are some Runic letters in it. I can comfirm one Runic letter and 4 possible Runic letters, and 2 letters that might be runic, but it isn't likely. It seems to have no consistency with any of the Versions of Runic(Elder Futhark, Younger Futhork(Danish Futhork, Swedish-Norwegian / Short-twig / Rök Runes, Norwegian Futhark, Gothenburg / Bohuslän Runes), and Medieval (Latinised) Futhark).

Some refrence I used: http://www.omniglot.com/writing/runic.htm

Also it seems there might be a character which I think might be runic, but it isn't listed on the site, it's the upside-down V looking character.

Edit: More rune information: http://viking-source.com/Runes-Guide.html

The thing in my signature? That's lojban. It roughly translates to "go fuck yourself."

I didn't base this on any other alphabet intentionally. I designed the letters of this cypher to be easy to write like the English alphabet, but distinctive from them.

edit: I borrowed a few letters from the English alphabet.

Secret language aliens taught me - Chanku - 05-25-2014 04:39 AM

Yeah which letters from the English alphabet that might have been runic are classified as part of the 4.
